When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?

Byakugan (All Seeing White Eye) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Low per turn active As its name implies, the Byakugan is just that, a featureless white eye that can occasionally possess hints of blue-gray and lavender, respectively. When the Byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge, representing the sudden chakra activation that makes the doujutsu possible. All members of the clan possess and can use the kekkei genkai from birth, as opposed to needing to awaken it. Byakugan gives the user a near 360 degree field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. With this vision, the Hyuuga can see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight up to a maximum standard distance of fifty meters. However, by holding a single seal (tiger), the user may enter a "focused" state and increase their range up to a maximum of five kilometers; they must remain still during this enhanced sight, and due to their attention (and sight) being well beyond their immediate surroundings, are quite vulnerable to assaults. Finally, one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, chakra flow as well as the chakra circulation system inside the body with great detail. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style - the Gentle Fist.
Note: Because of the eyes ability to see all things chakra related, the user can detect chakra sealed barriers as well as determine when genjutsu is being used; this means hyuuga are unaffected by genjutsu cast upon them. It can also discern a transformation as well all types of clones (spare for Shadow Clones, as the chakra is evenly distributed).

Katana Rank: C Type: Primary / Sword / Melee Description: Commonly refereed to as a 'Samurai sword', the katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single edged blade up to three feet in length, circular or squared guard, and long grip to accommodate two hands. As such, it has become renowned for its sharpness and cutting ability.

Hello Players, and Welcome to OTA the home of the Brave, and creative. This post will explain our slot system a little more so you’ll be fully aware of all of the thing you should keep track of it. It should be noted, this isn’t a limitor on your character but more so a clear understand of how you can build them within our current systems. So lets get started.
While freedom, openness and choice is a staple here, it is an unavoidable fact that throughout the series of Naruto, characters have constantly been labeled as 'types' which are specialized at doing a certain thing. Types then would refer to a specific skill or art a character is proficient at - in this case, either Ninjutsu or Taijutsu. Establishing what Type your character will be is important because it will directly determine how you will build your characters. Types are meant not only to balance the system and keep everyone at equal levels with each other, but also to provide a diversity which will bring people together for the sake of RP. After all, what's the fun of having a character that can do...everything?
Please keep in mind that while Types affect knowledge of most jutsu, Kekkei Genkai, Touta, and Clans techniques are exempt from this due to their inborn nature, BUT they still take up a slot! A player can as many slots as they can afford.
When deciding which route you want to go with your character you will be asked to choose a Primary Style, this will of course come with it's benefits and disadvantages here's a basic out line of character types we have here.
Primary Styles And Their Slots
Ninjutsu Primary ~
These are the people who combine their physical and spiritual chakra well enough to form incredible corporeal constructs. Most commonly, individuals will learn to channel their innate Nature Transformation and utilize it to do combat.
Their initial specifications:
2 Ninjutsu
1 Taijutsu
2 Chakra.
1 Stamina
1 Speed
1 Strength 1 Defense
2 Intelligence
Level 2 Hand Seals 4 per sec
6 slots.
Taijutsu restricted to B-ranked and under.
Universal Taijutsu restricted to B-ranked and under.
Ninjutsu Primary Types usually focus on Ninjutsu, they're capable of learning up to 6 elemental releases, although not at the start it's in their nature to be able to use all of six of the basic Chakra Nature's to some degree. Although, because they focus primary on Ninjutsu they're not as skilled in the Taijutsu department only being able to learn 2 specialized Taijutsu styles, and use up to B rank universal Taijutsu.
Up to 8 Ninjutsu Styles
Up to 2 Fighting Styles start with 1
Up to B rank Taijutsu
Taijutsu Primary ~
Preferring to harness the physical aspect of their body, opposed to the spiritual, taijutsu primary-focused ninjas boast a far more impressive physique than your typical ninja. Because of this, the user's speed, agility, and reflexes are noticeably advanced.
Their initial specifications:
1 Ninjutsu
2 Taijutsu
1 Chakra.
2 Stamina
2 speed
2 strength 2 Defense
2 Intelligence
1 Hand Seals
6 slots.
Elemental Releases restricted to B-ranked and under.
Universal Ninjutsu restricted to B-ranked and under.
Taijutsu Primary Characters usually focus on honing different Specialized fighting styles, they're capable of learning up to 6 different teachings. Because they focus more on their bodies, rather than chakra control they are normally capable of using up to 2 elemental releases and restrained to B rank and below Ninjutsu Techniques!
Up to 8 Fighting Styles
Up to 2 Ninjutsu Styles starts with 1
Up to B rank Ninjutsu
Summoning Family Slots -
In our Narutoverse there are two different types of summoning contracts players can pick up, and of course your style plays a role in this. But before we get into that, let me shed a little light on the difference between a personal summon and family summon.
Personal Summons - These types of summons are Usually one of a kind, with only one contract holder. These summons do not have multiple family members, and if they are killed they are done for unless revived in some Shinobi fashion.
Family Summons - These summons are usually bound to a family tree, and the user has the capability of summon multiple members from their tree. Also, these summons can be replaced on death, unlike the personal summons there are multiple of them you can summon.
Ninjutsu Primary ~
1 Personal Summon
1 Family Summon
Taijutsu Primary ~ 1 Personal Summon or 1 Family Summon .
Kinjutsu Slots
Each player is blessed with the ability to obtain some form of forbidden Jutsu, of course their styles come into play here but it's really easy to understand. Also, one can increase the amount of Kinjutsu Slots they have available to them through the experience shop
All Styles possess one Kinjutsu Slot at start, and they can purchase an additional! The only Drawback is Taijutsu Primary can not learn NINJUTSU Kinjutsu, and Ninjutsu Primary can not learn TAIJUTSU Kinjutsu.
Profession Slots
All Players are capable of obtaining 1 profession after character creation, and can buy additional slots for new ones later on.
F.A.Q
Do Universal Styles take up slots? No
Does an AR count as a release slot? Yes.
Is there a limit on Slots? Every Character can have up up to 10 slots NOT including Kinjutsu, Profession, and Summoning slots! Upgrades must be purchased through the EXP Shop
One Thousand Arms battle system is a hybridized form of statistics and logic. They will work in harmony to ensure that much of the headaches found in the gray areas of combat are smoothed out with concrete numerical values.
Below we have our movement speed and strength tables, which illustrate the lower and upper limits of our characters here on OTA. Our stat system foundation is based on the honor system so when in battle the proper mod still makes the final call, these stats will not be the sole thing that affects your abilities in combat. It'll have to involve a bit of comprehensive role-play meaning they'll be more strategy and less my power level is higher than yours!
Also I want to mention one more thing about the stat system, despite their being set numbers displayed here this doesn't mean you auto-kill someone if you're hit by something of a higher level. Unlike the show, every Player Character will be treated as a Main Character. All battles are meant to be drawn out a cinematic if i might suggest, so instead of number crunching just think of these numbers as a baseline for what the technique is capable of. When you want to know if how you're affecting the area or person when it's not insanely obvious, any moderator will have the opportunity to settle the debate after a simple DM.
Our systems have been simplified to make moderating battles simpler and understanding your character's (and your opponent's) capabilities within battles easier to judge. Once again, I'll say this doesn't allow one to just build a wall of stats that make them better than everyone else, just provides some references to what a character is capable of to make it a FAIR call when moderating battles! Please Note when dealing with elemental battles/physical abilities we will stay as close to physics as we possibly can. I.E water beats fire meaning, water techniques will have an advantage over fire. if you run into something moving too fast without defense to support it, you might hurt yourself.
FINAL NOTE: You will notice stats added to a lot of ninjutsu! These stats are to give you a better reference of how this technique could affect the area around them. Each type of technique has its strength compared to our strength level table, but instead of being pure strength, it's replaced with whatever said ability the technique has. I.E Someone who uses a Ice Technique, and its B rank, its strength rating will count as a hold for how intense the cold is or sharp the is, etc for the target/area.
How it Works
Now as mentioned earlier we believe in the honor system, and we'll hold you accountable to the best of our abilities which is why we've taken the time out to mention an area that always seems to get a bit grey in RP's. These stats will affect players' ability to perform jutsu, as well as their ability to move without and or function without it. I just want to keep on mentioning the fact that battle combat here is truly based on your Talent, and not your stat sheet. Ok so lets get started
Ninjutsu -
Most Shinobi have the ability to perform Ninjutsu Techniques, and some don’t. Ninjutsu can be performed at many different levels, and the user's ability to do so relies on Chakra Form and Chakra Control. Once a user has learned to do both of those they’re able to cast, finely crafted Ninjutsu.
The Ninjutsu Stat allows players to buff up their techniques slightly, in terms of range, size, cooldowns, and speed dependent upon the actual technique itself. For example if Bob Uchiha uses a Katon technique at with 5 Ninjutsu such as Great FireBall technique, he would be able to increase the natural range or size of it. So yes if someone if someone of a lower Rank uses the same technique, they can over power them. BUT if someone is using a different technique, let's say Suiton release, Waterfall Basin Technique which is a higher rank, and something that COMBATS the KATON technique perfectly will still hold it's advantage and WON'T GET AUTO SNUFFED OUT.
Level 1 - Increase range, size of techniques by 0 meter
Level 2 - Increase range, size of techniques by 3 meter
Level 3 - Increase range, size of techniques by 5 meter
Level 4 - Increase range, size of techniques by 8 meter
Level 5 - Increase range, size of techniques by 9 meter
Level 6 - Increase range, size of techniques by 11meter
Level 7 - Increase range, size of techniques by 13meter
Level 8 - Reduces all cool downs by 1 post Increase range, size of techniques by 15 meter
Level 9 - Reduces all cool downs by 2 post Increase range, size of techniques by 20 meter
Level 10 - Reduces all cool downs by 2 post Increase range, size of techniques by 20 meter
So when you think of Ninjutsu, you still have to take into account what type and style the Jutsu you're using is. Your stat doesn't give you an AUTOWIN, it just shows your mastery over the art and helps staff assess how much damage is being done by your technique.
Taijutsu -
Taijutsu (体術, Literally meaning: Body Techniques) is a basic form of technique and refers to any techniques involving the martial arts or the optimization of natural human abilities. Taijutsu is executed by directly accessing the user's physical and mental energies, relying on the stamina and strength gained through training. It typically does not require chakra, but instead uses Stamina, using Taijutsu Techniques will subtract from the user's Stamina Pool.
When a player raises their Taijutsu stat they're increasing their ability to perform Taijutsu techniques reducing the stamina needed to perform techniques. (Note: no Jutsu will ever go below x1 low)
Level 1 - Decrease Stamina usage by 0
Level 2 - Decrease Stamina usage by x1 low
Level 3 - Decrease Stamina usage by x2 low
Level 4 -Decrease Stamina usage by x1 mid
Level 5 -Decrease Stamina usage by x2 mid
Level 6 - Decrease Stamina usage by x3 mid
Level 7 - Decrease Stamina usage by x4 mid
Level 8 - Decrease Stamina usage by x1 High& Reduces cooldown by 1 post
Level 9 - Decrease Stamina usage by x1 High & +1 Base Strength Stat
Level 10 - Decrease Stamina usage by x2 High & +2 Base Strength Stat
When dealing with the Taijutsu Stat, it allows players to decrease the amount of stamina it cost to perform techniques.
Strength -
A player's strength level affects his/her character in multiple ways, such as how hard you hit with no Jutsu, what they can lift, and serve as a base for the Taijutsu Technique Strength.
Level 1 - Can dent Small Tree Trunks with a punch
Level 2 - Can break Small Tree Trunks with a punch
Level 3 - Can dent Large Tree Trunks with a punch
Level 4 -Can break Large Tree Trunks with a punch
Level 5 - Can dent Small Boulders with a punch
Level 6 - Can break Large Boulders with a punch
Level 7 - Can dent steel walls with a punch
Level 8 - Can puncture steel walls with a punch
Level 9 - Can Break Steel
Level 10 - Can Dent Diamond
The strength directly affects the users Taijutsu Techniques and normal abilities to wield any weapon. When performing Taijutsu techniques, your strength stat will be taken into account as well. When Dealing with POWER UP via jutsu users can break through the natural limits of the stat system.
Intelligence -
The Intelligence stat DOESN'T purely define how smart your character is, but it does give the ability to understand things within the Shinobi world. No jutsu can go below 50 exp. If your intelligence grants you a bonus decrease higher than desired jutsu it will default to 50.
Level 1 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 0
Level 2 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 40 EXP
Level 3 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 60 EXP
Level 4 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 80 EXP
Level 5 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 100 EXP and Shinobi are Knowledgeable of all basic releases. (Meaning they know they exist)
Level 6 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 100 EXP and Shinobi are Knowledgeable of all Taijutsu styles and releases.(Meaning they know they exist)
Level 7 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 140 EXP and Shinobi are Knowledge of all countries' terrain
Level 8 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 200 EXP and Shinobi are more knowledgeable of materials & items that exist.
Level 9 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 250 EXP and Shinobi knows of higher rank Shinobi Jounin and Higher
Level 10 - Decreases the experience needed to purchase techniques by 300 EXP and Shinobi knows the location of all hidden villages with no MAP.
When dealing with the intelligence trait, it allows characters to learn at a higher capacity than others, it can also give you an advantage when fighting in different terrains or trying to find information about something in the Shinobi World. E Rank techniques can't be discounted, as they are essentially free techniques.
Stamina -
Every player has a Stamina Pool, and it's accessed when a player is using Taijutsu Techniques. Your character's Stamina Pool will not be sapped while performing 'basic movements' with your character.
Level 1 - 1 x Massive
Level 2 - 2 x Massive
Level 3 - 3 x Massive
Level 4 - 4 x Massive
Level 5 - 5 x Massive
Level 6 - 6 x Massive
Level 7 - 7x Massive
Level 8 - 8 x Massive
Level 9 - 9 x Massive
Level 10 - 10 x Massive
Level 11 - 11 x Massive
This stat reset every time you enter a thread.. attaining the higher value means your starting pool in each thread will be as follows. AND Stamina just like speed are one of the stats that can naturally be increased pass level 10!
Speed -
Speed is a valuable asset in the Shinobi world, here on OTA the first way it affects your character is how fast a person is able to run. Also, this stat affects a character's agileness meaning their ability to throw a punch or avoid one in close-call situations.
Level 1 - 1 meters per second
Level 2 - 3 meters per second
Level 3 - 4 meters per second
Level 4 - 5 meters per second
Level 5 - 6 meters per second
Level 6 - 8 meters per second
Level 7 - 10 meters per second
Level 8 - 12 meters per second
Level 9 - 14 meters per second
Level 10 - 16 meters per second
Speed directly effects the normal abilities of movement. It plays a factor into how agile your character is, and how well they can actually comprehend peoples movements.
Chakra -
The Chakra pool the most important stat that exist in the Narutoverse, It tells a player just how many jutsu they can dish out before you know you kick the bucket. For the sake of understand, each point equals a massive. you may increase your Chakra pool as long as you have the points for it.
Level 1 - 1 x Massive
Level 2 - 2 x Massive
Level 3 - 3 x Massive
Level 4 - 4 x Massive
Level 5 - 5 x Massive
Level 6 - 6 x Massive
Level 7 - 7x Massive
Level 8 - 8 x Massive
Level 9 - 9 x Massive
Level 10 - 10 x Massive
Level 11 - 11 x Massive
This stat reset every time you enter a thread.. attaining the higher value means your starting pool in each thread will be as follows. AND Chakra just like speed are one of the stats that can naturally be increased pass level 10!
Defense -
Here at OTA, we aim to make fighting fun, with less disagreements from both parties. with that in mind in the Narutoverse, we've seen character die in all types ways. But we've also seen take a pounding, I.E getting smashed through walls, and mountains etc, huge techniques, but still manage to get up. Here at OTA, this stat affects a players ability to take damage and remain conscious. ALTHOUGH this stat doesn't provide ultimate defense, it will still take sufficient RP to survive dangerous encounters.
Level 1 - Durability comparable to a small tree
Level 2 - Durability comparable to a medium tree
Level 3 - Durability comparable to a large tree
Level 4 - Durability comparable to a small boulder
Level 5 - Durability comparable to a medium boulder
Level 6 - Durability comparable to a large boulder
Level 7 - Durability comparable to Tungsten steel
Level 8 - Durability comparable to Titanium steel
Level 9 - Durability comparable to Chromium steel
Level 10 - Durability comparable to Diamond
When Scaling your durability vs techniques, it really comes down to what type of technique it is. Your body is COMPARABLE to these materials, which means they can still be broken if attacked the right way. Getting hit with a Biju - Dama with level 10 defense will still hurt you if you're not taking any ACTUAL defensive measure I.E Jutsu, or hiding, moving, or blocking. And this doesn't affect your character's ability to be knocked back, if you're getting hit with a technique that'll put you down, it still will. You're just more likely to get up from it.
Hand Seals -
This is pretty self-explanatory, the higher your hand seal level the faster you'll be able to wave hand seals per second. Ninjutsu Primary max 20 handseals per Sec. So Level 1 is 2 handseals per second, and +2 for each additional level.
Taijutsu Primary max 10 handseals per second So Level 1 is 1 handseals per second and +1 for each additional level.
"Well what does this stat look like RP'd out.." Well, we're gonna get back to the honor system again, instead of giving it a said value, it'll just provide you with the idea that'll you be a little bit stronger than a person of a lower level than you. It will be noted that most techniques tell you how faster, far, and strong they are. The stats will provide the players with more insight into how to interact with other players when fighting. Moving at light speed, and things like that will be saved for people with bijuu, gates, and that type of crowd, and even then we will do our best to manage that to ensure everybody is having a good time.
Note! Each stat has a maximum cap of 10, BUT can be exceeded when using special abilities that give a stat bonus. Under the given conditions staff will provide specifications on what a player has is capable of in this type of situation.
Starting Off
Every type has its own initial stats they start off with which can be found in the Type Section! These are additional points to customize your character a bit more.
Note: Some Clans have additional starting stats. Please review the specific clan page when tracking & building your characters.
When your character is freshly created, or recreated, they'll start off with a specific amount of stat points that are dependent on their type (Nin Prime or Tai Prime). However, they will be awarded an additional number of stats depending on their Rank.
Genin - 2 Stat Points
Chunnin - 3 Stat Points
Jounin - 5 Stat Points
Note: When Recreating a character you will lose all of the stat points earned by the previous character. NOTE: you will recover all the experience of all PURCHASED points.
Earning Stat Points
just as the Shinobi in the show the survive to get better. But just so you have an idea how you'll be able to earn stats let me throw up a couple of ways, ALTHOUGH, at the digression of staff members special circumstance may call for it. A moderator will provide the stat points while grading, you don't really have to ask. If A stat point is Earned Via RP, a user is free to put it into whatever they feel like they want to as long as there character type allows for it.

F.A.Q
How many stat points can I have?
A player can obtain as many stat points as they wish, as long as they have a place to put them. Not every stat can be increased pass 10, only Chakra, and Stamina Pools.
What Happens when you exceed stat CAPs because of special jutsu??
The user will be placed into a special situation, and the battle moderator will help discern the new speeds/strength/durability that is attained in these cases.
If I start off with 2 Chakra, is my first EXPERIENCE SHOP purchase from Level 1 or Level 2???
Although the honor system has long served as a base for many players in terms of how to gauge an event and the usage of chakra behind their creations, heated situations required a more detailed, technical system. As such, we present to you the consumption system!
As its name implies, the consumption system helps the players understand how much their jutsu is costing them chakra wise by giving them a general idea of what the jutsu costs are in the first place.
Jutsu Cost
E Rank - 005 EXP
D Rank - 100 EXP
C Rank - 200 EXP
B Rank - 300 EXP
A Rank - 400 EXP
S Rank - 500 EXP
SS Rank - 600 EXP.
Chakra Consumption & Techniques
Low
This is the lowest chakra consumption. These jutsu are very simple in execution, and as such are very easy to repeat.
Mid
Although not the easiest, these techniques are still light in terms of chakra consumption. Slightly more complex, the execution of these types of techniques is still simple enough for them to be repeated more than once without consequence on the use.
High
These are the more serious techniques. These jutsu have high chakra consumption levels because they tend to deliver destructive results, and are stronger than most. Of the harder jutsu to execute and master, the usage of these types of techniques is quite complex and as such, should be used sparingly.
Massive
As its name implies, these techniques are ridiculous in consumption, and as such, are usually one-shots that tend to not be repeated more than once a thread. Because they require so much energy, they also possess ridiculous power. Although these techniques tend to range in rank depending on circumstance, because of their taxing consumption these techniques usually wind up being forbidden or special for that very reason.
With this in mind, the levels of consumption are relative to each other and directly effect the next level above or below them. As of now, your chakra can be measured as such: TWO lows are equivalent to ONE mid; FOUR mids are equivalent to ONE high; FOUR highs are equivalent to ONE massive.
This means that if a character with x2 Massive chakra used 64 lows in a fight, they would effectively be out of chakra (being as how 64 lows equates to 16 mids and so on and so forth). If they used eight highs, they would be out of chakra as well.
This simple, but effective, system will allow you and staff to actively monitor your chakra during battles and events. Every player starts off with Levels in chakra dictated by their stats, for each level in chakra the chakra pool is increased by 1 massive.
The concept of Mastery applies to any chakra or non-chakra related art in which that user has invested enough EXP to perform above average in that particular category. Whether its a specific release, a clan, a fighting style, or a simple high-speed movement, enough experience invested in an art will be rewarded.
Each clan, blood limit, advanced release, basic release, taijutsu and profession have their own unique set of mastery perks. These can be found in the respective thread of the tree in question.
◀ Mastery Points
By default, your character has access to a total of [3] mastery points. You can use these three mastery points for any tree you currently possess. You do not have to empty all three of your mastery points into a single tree.
Example: Nick uses one mastery point in katon, purchasing the "first tier" mastery. He then uses his remaining two points in suiton, purchasing the first tier and second tier.
Naturally, Nick must meet the requirements of the mastery tiers in order to purchase them.
You cannot, however, skip mastery tiers. In order to reach tier two, you must have tier one. In order to reach tier three, you must possess tier one and two tier two.
Requirements!
The mastery tiers work in increments of how many techniques you have learned. So, in order to obtain tier one, you must have learned 33% of the available, indexed techniques (this does not include Custom techniques). In order to reach tier two, you must have 66% of all indexed techniques. Finally, to reach tier three you would need to have purchased all indexed techniques.
To help users better calculate these percentages, you can simply go to Google.com. Type into the search bar 33% * # of techniques in the whole index. This will give you the amount you need to learn for the first tier mastery, and you simply change the percent to 66% for the second tier. However, you may notice that there is a decimal in many of these outcomes. If that is the case, you round up to the nearest whole number. For example, 33% * 10 = 3.3. So, to learn the first tier mastery of this tree I would need to learn 4 techniques.
Here at OTA we’ve implemented a system that allows players to flex their creative abilities a bit. Diving a bit deeper into character creation people with proper approvals, you’ll be able to inherit your parents DNA, meaning you can be a part of two clans(This has to be selected at character creation). But this of course comes with restrictions, within thin this thread we’ll explain a plethora of things. First things first; dominate and recessive genes, now let me explain.
Dominate & Recessive genes
Styles
Pure Genes –
In the Narutoverse there are a plethora of clans that have their own unique traits, these are dominate genes. No matter what type of Shinobi, they inherit the will of their clan usually resulting in a Kekkei Genkai or some special ability. Being a pure breed of certain clans allow for certain advantages, and disadvantages.
Mixed Genes –
Not foreign to the Narutoverse, we've seen the clans mixing among one another which leads to a lot of debate in the Role Play World. Well, here at OTA we'd like to take both sides into consideration. When players elect to make 'mixed' Characters one side of there gene's will be shut off at player creation, the other side will be able to be purchased through the EXP Shop or Earned through transplanting the DNA of a pure blood clansmen into their own I.E blood transfusions these abilities will be dormant I.E Bob Uchiha has a recessive gene for the Kaguya, if he finds someone to extract the DNA from, and then receive the proper procedures to inject the blood he'll be able to use the Kekkei Genkai.
Transplants -
If you receive a transplant of a clan you're not associated at with birth, you'll have a 25% chance of inheriting their abilities. You can't transplant more than two clans' dna.
Somethings Don't Work -
Currently, we're not accepting certain mixtures because we haven't decided how to handle them just yet. Here's the list.
Hyuuga x Uchiha
Advanced Releases
Advanced Releases aren't considered Kekkei Genkai, They're simply the combination of particular chakra natures to form a new one and you must have 50% of each release that creates it. Once a player posses the correct chakra natures to create the new one they can use it. ALTHOUGH certain bloodlines don't allow for certain releases I.E a Hozuki can't use the Lava release it just don't make sense. You'll find any restrictions for said blood within their respective threads. AND their a special circumstance that would allow someone to access a AR without Experience I.E Clan/KG or Bijuu.
Here you will find a guide explaining how your character enters the universe, and how their ranks will affect your beginning!
Shinobi
All new characters may start off as a Samurai or Non-Nin as well, but you should be wary of the consequences (primarily for Non-Nin). Starting off as a Non-Nin means you are on your own in the world, while everyone else travels in groups; especially when in a hostile environment.
Ryo
All new characters have a set amount of 'starting ryo,' which goes all across the board:
All new characters start with one free release (even Taijutsu primaries).
All new characters start with 1000 EXP to which they can spend on techniques. It should be noted that starter characters can only start off with c-rank and below. This rule is only applicable to fresh characters (i.e those starting with the initial 1000 EXP). If this isn't a fresh character, and you're simply revamping or scrapping, you're free to do whatever (technique rank wise), presuming you have the EXP to facilitate it.
Starting Items
Genin start with two C-ranked or lower Primary Weapons. Genin start with three C-ranked or lower Secondary Weapon packs. Genin start with three C-ranked or lower Accessory Slots. Chuunin start with two B-ranked or lower Primary Weapons. Chuunin start with three B-ranked or lower Secondary Weapon packs. Chuunin start with three B-ranked or lower Accessory Slots. Jounin start with two A-ranked or lower Primary Weapons. Jounin start with three A-ranked or lower Secondary Weapon packs. Jounin start with three A-ranked or lower Accessory Slots.
Genin - Genin are the lowest of ninja skill levels, possessing a knowledge of all the basic ninja skills. Shinobi of this rank are allowed lower ranked missions normally, unless a higher ranked ninja acts as their 'chaperon' for tougher tasks. Genin are put in four-man cells with typically a Chuunin or Jounin sensei in order to learn teamwork and experience true ninja life under the supervision and protection of an elite shinobi. Once the Genin has successfully undertaken their village's required amount of missions, they can be sponsored by their sensei for the Chuunin Exam.

Chunnin - Chuunin are like knights of the village, with their skill levels high enough to allow them to become competent at specifics tasks such as field doctors or teachers. Formerly Genin who were promoted for displaying excellent intelligence, strategy and combat skills in the Chuunin Exams, Chuunin have the equivalent rank of military captain, exhibiting strong stamina, knowledge and inner wisdom. Having reached a level of maturity that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess, they are entrusted with mid to high ranked missions and below regularly.
May perform up to 'B' ranked missions! Additionally,
Chuunin may begin with Jutsu, Weapon and Items 'B' ranked and lower.
May carry up to three (3) Main Weapons on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to six (6) Secondary Weapon Packs on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!

Jounin - Jounin, signifying elite, are ninja who are highly skilled in all jutsu skills and arts. Ninja attain the rank of Jounin through official appointment which varies by village and is given at the Kage's discretion. The Jounin generally serve as squad commander for mission operations, and are skilled at all of the shinobi arts. With all their wealth of knowledge, Kages often use them as squad commanders either for new Genin needing a positive direction, or for groups send on high-class secret missions. Virtually no task phases a Jounin elite, making them eligible for high-class missions and tasks deemed to be impossible by others.
May perform up to 'A' 'S' ranked missions! Additionally,
Jounin may begin with Jutsu, Weapon and Items 'A' ranked and lower.
May carry up to four (4) Main Weapons on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to nine (9) Secondary Weapon Packs on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to five (5) Accessories on their person, without any extensions, at any given time
Non - Ninja
Non-Ninja are average citizens agents within the shinobi world. Potentially powerful in their own right, they do not adhere to ninja customs and follow their own path instead. The way they fit into the world depends entirely on the player, they can be villagers or simple nomads, wandering the land.
Being a Non-Ninja is fun, but there are a few rules other players need to follow!
Originality and alternate worlds are encouraged as long as it flows with the site, which is why Non-Ninja are being formalized. This also has to do with rank transition, which is explained next.
If you're choosing to play a non-ninja or samurai, you shouldn't expect to receive any of the perks that ninja do. This means that you won't be able to learn any ninjutsu, genjutsu, or unique taijutsu (styles specialized for ninjas, such as the gates). You're essentially choosing to play a normal person or a samurai (who have their own specific techniques) on a ninja forum - if you wish to become a ninja, you can. However, samurai will need to unlearn all of their techniques and reallocate their EXP to ninja-based techniques.
Final Note
All non-ninja and non-samurai will be considered "chuunin" in rank solely in determining how much they can carry. Consider this as compensation for how limited you'll be.
Samurai
Generally speaking, Samurai will start out as Apprentices working their way up the ranks. However, very special cases (extremely powerful samurai) may be allowed to start at a higher ranking with administration's approval. The ranks for samurai are:
Apprentice Apprentices are the lowest of samurai skill levels, possessing only knowledge of the more rudimentary swordplay skills. Apprentice samurai are allowed to tend to the lower level missions, though spend the majority of their time sparring and honing their skills to further progress in power. Unlike the shinobi rank of 'genin,' apprentices are not issued "teams." Instead, they are a part of a rather large dojo (usually consisting of over 100 students simultaneously).
May perform up to 'D' and 'C' ranked missions! Additionally, Apprentices may begin with Techniques, Weapon and Items of C-rank and lower.
May carry up to two (2) Main Weapons on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to three (3) Secondary Weapon Packs on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to three (3) Accessories on their person at any given time!
Adept Adepts consist of the large majority of the samurai's military strength, with their skill levels high enough to allow them to become competent at specifics tasks such as field doctors or teachers. Formerly Apprentices who were promoted for displaying excellent intelligence, strategy and combat skills in the Trials of Blood and Iron, Adepts have the equivalent rank of military captain, exhibiting strong stamina, knowledge and inner wisdom. Having reached a level of maturity that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess, they are entrusted with mid to high ranked missions and below regularly.
May perform up to 'B' ranked missions! Additionally, Adepts may begin with Techniques, Weapon and Items 'B' ranked and lower.
May carry up to three (3) Main Weapons on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to six (6) Secondary Weapon Packs on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to four (4) Accessories on their person at any given time!
Master Master samurai are the elite forces of the Land of Iron's strength. Though relatively small in number, these samurai are considered unparalleled in their skill with a blade. Though they see less and less battle with each passing year, and fulfill a more general-like role (giving orders and overseeing the majority of all strategics), master samurai serve as the guardians for all lesser samurai ranks. As the only rank of samurai gifted with the honor of running their own dojo, their primary focus is to increase the knowledge of all those studying beneath them, so that they too may become equally as powerful when their time arises. Master samurai are only called to action in the most dire of situations, when their expertise is truly needed; they are capable of taking the highest and most dangerous ranked missions.
May perform any ranked mission! Additionally, Master samurai may begin with Techniques, Weapons and Items 'A' ranked and lower.
May carry up to four (4) Main Weapons on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to nine (9) Secondary Weapon Packs on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
May carry up to five (5) Accessories on their person, without any extensions, at any given time!
