The unity between Shinobi of this caliber, and their natural environment is quite clear as they are extremely calm and devout in their techniques because they know they are surrounded by their natural affinity much like a Doton-user is to earth. Because of this, when standing on (or are at the most 5m away) from a large natural source of water the Suiton users gains this calmness. All Suiton cost 50% with the lowest being 1x Low up to B rank as long as they are within range of this calming quality.[break][break] Tier Two - From the Air to Oceans: One of the most noticeable drawbacks to the Suiton skill is that the majority of its jutsu require a source to facilitate them. However, there are a handful of Suiton masters who have learned to bypass this unfortunate "rule" to a certain degree. By assimilating the water from the air itself, Suiton masters are capable of performing all water-based techniques of a-rank and below without a water source.[break][break] Tier Three - Hydration, the Metamorphosis: Pushing the their knowledge and skill of suiton the limit, masters of this level are able to use all suiton-based techniques without a water source. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. The range of the clone is limited however, it cannot travel very far from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural water state.[break][break] Note: Each clone costs 2x Mid to create, and the amount of Chakra given to each Clone is dependent on how much the user wishes to spend Extra to give it. This technique is considered the completed form of the Water Prison jutsu, being as how the user does not need to remain in contact with the sphere to keep it in tact.[break][break] Note: The user must know the Water Prison technique in order to use this jutsu. It looks very similar to the Water Prison Technique, but it does not drown the user or anyone else within it's confines.[break][break] Note: this technique has durability similar to level 5 defense, and can appear near instant.[break] Suirou no Jutsu (Water Prison Technique)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 5[break] Chakra Consumption: 3x Mid[break] Suirou no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to imprison an opponent. The ninja forms the necessary handseals which causes water to form around the target, shaping into a spherical prison which only allows for severely limited movement. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a bunshin technique, the ninja can imprison their target but still allow for a clone to attack others nearby.[break][break] Note: This jutsu will be treated as seen in the Kakashi vs. Zabuza fight. Once captured by the water prison, the character inside is almost completely immobilized, making escaping from within the water prison very difficult. Any attacks or actions that require substantial, fluid motions are greatly hindered and all but impossible (things like handseals, stabs, punches). Staying within this prison for a total of ten posts will result in the victim drowning. this technique has durability similar to level 5 if a target has higher than level 5 strength than can break out of this technique without help. To utilize this technique, the use will generate a whirling sphere of water. A shark of condensed water will emerge from each of their fingers to attack any opponent who is in the water below. Due to being comprised of water, these sharks can regenerate for an increment of 1 Mid worth of chakra (including “fatal wounds”). This jutsu works even better with Kuchiyose, as it can increase its numbers with actual living sharks.[break] Note: Contrary to the name of this technique, the maximum number of sharks that may be created per cast is 100. Furthermore, the user cannot recast this technique until all 100 sharks have been eliminated. After forming the necessary handseals, the user will generate a large shark which they will launch toward their opponent. This shark is no ordinary blast of water , as it also absorbs the chakra of their opponent (techniques included), which causes it to increase in size (doubles per absorption). This means that the more powerful the opponent is, the larger and more powerful Daikoudan will be when it impacts.[break][break] Note: This technique requires possession of Samehada, and likewise the unique ability to absorb chakra, to be used.[break][break] This jutsu scales based on the amount of chakra it absorbs. At a basic level, the technique is about the size of a fully grown adult. For each increment of high chakra it absorbs, it sizes doubles. If the user applies the additional High cost per turn, the source of the jutsu can keep the jutsu centered on themselves.[break][break] Note: This jutsu spans a massive 75 meter radius from the user and can be sustained for a maximum of five turns.[break] Rank: S Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive, Supplementary Handseals: 9 Chakra Consumption: 1x High per attack mirrored Mizukagami no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Water Element. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will circle their hands to create a reflective disk of water. This disk will reflect the user’s oncoming opponents on its surface, then using their hands (or anything with a hook, capable of grappling the mirror), the user will swipe aside the disk, leaving an identical mirror image of the oncoming attack. This mirror clone will then counter the enemy down to their weapons and chakra, effectively neutralizing their current attack when the mirror clone and the original clash. Note: Water is not necessary beforehand to perform this technique. These clones are only capable of performing the reflected technique once, and then they will vanish. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?
