[nospaces] [attr="class","believeBG"] [attr="class","believeHead"] [attr="class","believeIcon"] [attr="class","believeBody"] Restrictions -[break][break] 1. -- .[break][break] 2. Similar to Hozuki, this clan has a normal state and aside from the paper transformation. Serufu Hatoronshi no Kami (Self Crafting Paper Skill) Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid per transformation[break] This jutsu allows a Shikigami to transform themselves into paper. The Shikigami forces their chakra into the corresponding limb or area, transforming the flesh and bone into paper with strength comparable to steel. While this does pose some relatively high risks, the pay off is equally substantial. Due to the malleable nature of paper, the user is capable of transforming any morphed limb into whatever construct they desire.[break][break] Note: The user may convert their entire body into paper a maximum of five times per thread. However, the user may convert one appendage (and arm, leg, head, or the torso; converting two limbs at the same time will count as two separate usages) into paper a total of ten times per thread. Due to being able to transform themselves into paper at any point in time, all Shikigami are nearly impervious to non-elemental physical strikes, but are extremely susceptible to Suiton and Katon. Any and all Katon does a critical amount of damage on Shikigami, and when hit with the element they are unable to disperse and shift properly, even potentially lighting up in flames. Likewise, any and all Suiton reacts adhesively with the paper-infused chakra of the Shikigami body, thoroughly sticking the area the jutsu comes in contact with. It should be noted that Shikigami are not made of paper, but instead simply possess a genetic disorder which allows them to revert their entire bodies into such. When knocked unconscious or extremely exhausted and\or low on chakra, the user will revert to an immobile mound of paper. This grants the user a Natural +1 to their defense level.[break][break] Kami Gisou (Paper Camouflage)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 2[break] Chakra Consumption: Low (on top of base jutsu cost)[break] One of the Shikigami's most dangerous talents is their ability to create a battlefield in advance that directly resembles the outside world. This technique allows the user to cause his or her paper to change in a variety of ways, including different pigments and folds, in order to create optical illusions.[break][break] Note: This ability requires a series of handseals -or- the paper must be changed to a certain color/appearance while the user is creating it.[break][break] Pepa Tenshin no Kami (Paper Angel Wings)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 4[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid x2, Low (upkeep)[break] Grants the clan member wings that allow them to take flight. After a few simple seals, the clan member can utilize their paper in order to create a flurry of wings meant for stable flight. The wings created by the user can be be any color, size, and type they wish, and will carry them across even the greatest of distances and chasms - as long as the user has enough chakra to continuously power it.[break][break] Note: The user can fly at speeds comparable to level 4 speed Kamino Buki (Paper Weapon)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 4[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid, Low (optional)[break] One of the most basic Shikigami techniques where after handseals the user forges with paper a weapon of their choosing. This allows for a variety of tactical movements during battle, supplementing the clan member's close-range combat.[break][break] Note: Weapon must be an existing overview weapon in the index and can never exceed two times the dimensions of said item. The weapon must remain in contact with the Shikigami at all times, or it will return to its normal state of paper. For an optional Low chakra cost, the user can turn a created weapon into another weapon. This technique has durability comparable to level 3 defense, and slicing power comparable to level 2 strength[break][break] Hatoronshi Bakuha (Crafting Paper Explosive Addition)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: -[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid[break] As its name implies, the clan member is able to imbue their paper creations with explosive properties. When lit, the effect can spread over a mass amount of paper sheets; when combined with other clan jutsu, the explosive additions result in a truly terrifying offensive combination.[break][break] Note: This technique allows the Shikigami to create explosive notes at their will, up to three per post. Likewise, they can also convert a single Pepa Shuriken no Jutsu cast (all of the shuriken associated with the single cast) into explosive rounds. These abilities cannot be used at the same time (you either make notes or turn the shuriken into explosive shuriken). Furthermore, the cost of converting the paper shuriken stacks with the cost of making the shuriken. This technique has explosive power comparable to level 2 strength[break][break] Pepa Shuriken no Jutsu (Paper Shuriken Technique)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: 2[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid-High[break] A simple yet effective paper technique. The user can take paper creations of their own and turn them into deadly shuriken. Retaining their infamous strength, these shuriken are sent flying by the user's will, resulting in a deadly barrage of projectiles.[break][break] Note: 3 shuriken can be created with the initial Mid cost, and by stacking on another Mid each, up to 12 can be created per use. This technique has durability comparable to level 2 defense, and slicing power comparable to level 2 strength[break][break] Kami Arashi no Jutsu (Paper Storm Technique)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0-5m), Mid (5-10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: 6, final seal hold to control[break] Chakra Consumption: High, Mid (to control)[break] The user creates six large, levitating and spinning pieces of paper which fly around the opponent continuously in an attempt to strike the opponent off guard. These constructs take on the in the shape of shuriken (they are roughly one meter wide, an several inches thick), and possess a high amount of momentum in their movements. Unlike the Pepa Shuriken technique, this attack can be directed and manipulated, giving more lethal control to the user.[break][break] Note: The user cannot perform any other technique while this one is active; furthermore, the user must hold the final seal. If a sheet of paper strikes a solid surface, then that piece of paper loses its potency and cannot be reanimated by the user unless he or she performs the technique once more. This technique has durability comparable to level 3 defense, and slicing power comparable to level 4 strength[break][break] Kami no Chixyou (Paper Butterfly)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 4[break] Chakra Consumption: High[break] An espionage technique developed specifically for covert reconnaissance, Kami no Chixyou turns the paper user into a group of butterflies, each with the ability to scout a different location for the sake of reconnaissance. Looking like no more than a harmless butterfly, the user can get away with spying on all numbers of people and locations without themselves being seen.[break][break] Note: The user can control and see through the eyes of up to a maximum of five butterflies. The butterflies may only travel one country away, and cannot attack. Only when the remaining butterflies coalesce can the user return to normal form. When a butterfly is destroyed, the user does not take any damage, but loses all memory the butterfly might have had. This technique has durability comparable to level 3 defense.[break][break] Kami no Hitoku (Concealment of Paper)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: -[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 12[break] Chakra Consumption: High x2, Mid x2 (upkeep)[break] An espionage technique developed to allow personalized reconnaissance and evasion alike, Kami no Hitoku transforms the user into a life-sized origami version of themselves. The user in this form can then contort their body into nearly any shape. When this ability is used in combination with Kami Gisou (Paper Camouflage) they can look to be almost anything.[break][break] Note: The user cannot use any technique besides Kami Gisou (Paper Camouflage) while in this form. Specifically, this ability grants the user to alter their dimensional shape (3d, 2d, 1d), which gives them greater access to a myriad of locations.[break][break] Tate Kami (Paper Shield)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Defensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: High[break] Sometimes, an opponent can perform a technique that can catch even a skilled warrior off-guard. In these moments, the Shikigami can call upon reserves of paper to instantly form a small protective wall up to a meter in front of him or her.[break][break] Note: This shield can protect against attacks B rank and below, but will be destroyed by attacks of a higher rank. Furthermore, any Fire or Water attack will immediately destroy it unless the user has the Tier 3 mastery, in which case only Fire and Water attacks of C rank or above will destroy it. Lasts only a single turn and requires a 1 turn cooldown.[break][break] Pepa Bunshin no Jutsu (Paper Clone Technique)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 3[break] Chakra Consumption: High (per clone)[break] Pepa Bunshin no Jutsu utilizes paper to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Pepa Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. The range of the clone is limited however, it cannot travel very far from the original body. If the Pepa Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural paper state.[break][break] Note: This clone has x2 High cap of chakra. These clones are limited to Shikigami-based jutsu and elementary chakra channeling. This includes simple abilities like water walking and tree climbing but not more advances channeling techniques such as Hien. This technique has durability comparable to level 3 defense.[break][break] Kamijinheki (Paper Encampment Wall)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)[break] Type: Defensive[break] Handseals: 5[break] Chakra Consumption: High x2[break] Creates a wall of paper in front of the user which protects anyone behind the wall from incoming damage. The wall created is roughly five meters high and ten meters long (from side to side). [break][break] Note: This technique has durability comparable to level 5 defense. Furthermore, any Fire or Water attack will immediately destroy it unless the user has the Tier 3 mastery, in which case only Fire and Water attacks more likely will destroy it.[break][break] Kamichakuramu (Paper Chakram)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: 7 (charge)[break] Chakra Consumption: High, Low (upkeep)[break] A staple shikigami technique which creates up to two giant paper chakrams to attack the opponent. The user first focuses their chakra into either hand and paper begins to swirl into a chakram of about a two meter circumference (image). The chakram begins violently spinning upon the centerpoint and is then tossed at the opponent. Even if the initial pass of the chakram misses, it will continue to swing around attempting to attack the opponent so long as the user pays the upkeep fee every turn (image).[break][break] Note: By paying a second High amount of chakra the user can create a second giant chakram to be used in the same manner as the first. Only two paper chakram can be active at any give time. This technique has durability comparable to level 4 defense, and slicing power comparable to level 6 strength[break][break] Kyodaina Pepa Taoru (Giant Paper Towel)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 6[break] Chakra Consumption: High x2, Mid (upkeep)[break] The user creates a giant sheet of double-ply paper (no more than 2 meters long, 2 meters wide) in front of them, much like a shield. This huge sheet soaks up any water it touches, nullifying the chakra and making that source of water unusable, as it disappears when the technique is dissipated.[break][break] Note: The paper towel can absorb up to 5 Suiton jutsu of B rank or below. It will remain until the user cannot sustain the chakra upkeep anymore, or will disappear once it has reached the limit that it can soak up. Lightning and Fire techniques of any rank will destroy it immediately.[break][break] Kami Yoroi (Paper Armor)[break] Rank: S[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Defensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: High x2, Mid x2 (upkeep)[break] A thin and lightweight armor ninjutsu, this technique covers the user from head to toe in paper. When blended correctly with other Shikigami Ninjutsu, the opponent usually will be incapable of even telling that the user is guarded in this manner. Should the opponent attack the user, they will find the paper defense in the ready to absorb the blow.[break][break] Note: No seals are needed to apply the armor, but it still takes a single full turn for it to cover the user. Kami Yoroi can withstand attacks of A rank and below, and will withstand a single S rank attack before breaking. However, Fire and Water techniques of any rank can break through the barrier, damaging the user. If they have the Tier 3 mastery, then Fire and Water techniques of C rank and above can break the armor and injure the user. This technique has durability comparable to level 8 defense[break][break] Shikigami no Mai (Dance of the Paper God)[break] Rank: S[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Defensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Massive[break] Considered the Shikigami trump card, and the succession technique of their style, the ability to control individual sheets of paper allows the user to temporarily shift form and turn themselves into paper, float away as countless sheets of paper, and then reform somewhere else. Just before an attack lands the user shifts into nothing but sheets of paper, floats about, and then reforms. The paper can be any color, or form that the person wishes. In this form the user cannot use or control any other sheets of paper besides those that represent their 'being', and these sheets cannot be used to attack.[break][break] Note: This allows the user to fully control the hundreds of sheets of paper defining their being while dispersed. By employing this technique, the user can disperse their body into a cloud of hundreds of sheets of paper, which they can then direct to any location they wish (up to thirty meters away). Any damage received by these sheets of paper is reduced completely, giving the user a "perfect escape." This technique can only be used once per thread.[break][break] ulla [newclass=.believeBG]background-color:#fff;width:400px;padding-bottom:20px;border-radius:10px;box-shadow:#ccc 4px 4px 5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeHead]background-image:url(https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jYItDtYRaNQ/WMLVg7KoU3I/AAAAAAAAEIc/YZajsqFo_KEN1RthoAUUOM4lW_1ZkYf9QCEw/s1600/konan.gif);background-position:center center;border-radius:10px 10px 0 0;height:175px;-webkit-clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon]-webkit-transform:rotate(-39deg);float:left;margin-top:-70px;margin-left:50px;border:#fff 5px solid;background-color:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon IMG]width:65px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody]padding:20px 40px;font-family:arial;font-size:10px;text-align:justify;color:#3a3a3a;line-height:12px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody b]color:#000;font-family:varela round;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody i]color:#888;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton]background-image:url(https://i.pinimg.com/originals/49/98/9e/49989e61e44b15452f882ce5f8ba1af6.gif);background-position:center center;-webkit-filter:grayscale(60%);height:40px;width:80%;border-radius:80px;box-shadow:#ccc 1px 1px 3px;color:#fff;line-height:40px;font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:10px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton a]color:#fff!important;font-weight:400!important;[/newclass] [googlefont=Varela Round]

One Day at a time

Prelude -
When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?
