[nospaces] [attr="class","believeBG"] [attr="class","believeHead"] [attr="class","believeIcon"] [attr="class","believeBody"] Since the Ancient Era, the Kaguya clan has always been one of the premiere clans native to Mizu no Kuni and its hidden village, Mizu no kuni in despite of their bloodthirsty, warmongering nature. It was this very nature that eventually led the clan, under the rule of a particularly insane patriarch, to what many believed their extinction.[break][break] Never more than barbarians with a knack for battle, it was only a matter of time before the Kaguya clan turned on the forces of Mizu no kuni. However, their lack of strategy, simplistic and brutal method of attack, and overall their inferior numbers resulted in nothing short of a massacre of the entire clan. For nearly a hundred years, the entire world was led to believe that the Kaguya were extinct, and their powerful Kekkei Genkai, the Shikotsumyaku (Dead Bone Pulse), was lost to the sands of time.[break][break] It wasn't until recently (within the last century) that the lands of Mizu no Kuni have seen an emergence of the fabled Kaguya clan. While there are many mysteries surrounding their reestablishment in the known world (such as how they escape such a horrendous fate), it appears that this newer generation of the clan prefer to present themselves in a far more civilized manner than their ancestors. Though the thirst for blood still remains embedded in their veins, they don't allow it to control them -- or, at least, the majority of them don't.[break][break] RESTRICTIONS[break][break] 1. The Kaguya clan is a Taijutsu Primary clan.[break][break] 2. +1 Defense & Strength stats[break][break] I. CALCIUM EFFICIENCY - Through vigorous training, the Kaguya clan member has learned to reduce the amount of effort required to restore damaged bone. Unique to their devastating Kekkei Genkai, any damage sufficient to break/shatter/damage a Kaguya's bone structure in any way, can be repaired over the course of a single turn (by discarding the damaged bone and re-growing a replacement) for a High chakra cost. During this turn of regrowth, the user cannot utilize any other techniques.[break][break] II. CALCIUM ATTRITION - Widely considered masters of taijutsu due to their natural affinity for hand to hand combat, the Kaguya clan are renowned for pushing their bodies to the limit, incredibly augmenting their capabilities. At this level, any Taijutsu techniques used in conjunction with the Kaguya Clan member's protruding bones (previously used Kaguya techniques) are able to use their jutsu in complete harmony with most Taijutsu styles. [break][break] III. KAIYOU NO MAI, THE 6TH DANCE 0- Having truly mastered the art of their kekkei genkai, becoming artists in the dance of warfare, the user has learned to unlock the sixth and final dance: Kaiyou no Mai. Under the influence of this fabled dance, the user is capable of exercising two Kaguya-clan techniques simultaneously, while only paying the highest chakra cost between said techniques (one of the two is free of cost). In addition, those who possess this final level of mastery have developed a way to increase the usage of 'one time per thread' techniques to three times a day. Once this mastery tier is achieved, the users body begins the slow process of calcification, and MUST utilize the sixth dance in PC Combat once per thread in order to avoid certain death (but only if they have already used a Kaguya Clan technique in that same thread).[break][break] Akuin (Corpsebone Rooting)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid[break] Although basic, this jutsu is the commencement of the Kaguya’s bone manipulation to a hardness that will serve them for their own greater good. Once sensing they are losing balance by extreme measures, such as strong wind currents or even blasts of energy, they will allow their bones to pierce their feet and dig deeply into any solid surface they are standing on, branching off underground in a form of hyper-growth based on the rooting of strong trees. From this point on they will remain in place until they choose to move on, and will not suffer the effects of knockback/knockdown/knockup techniques, though they can still take damage from them.[break][break] Hone Tsume (Violent Claw)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid to cast and sustain[break] Using the power their blood has granted them, the Kaguya can cause their knuckles to push forward, outward from the hand and sharpening, working as a kind of claw-like weapon. This can also be done from the fingertips, allowing the bones within the finger to extend outward as opposed to the knuckle. These are excellent for quick, slashing attacks.[break][break] Note: The bone claws may grow up to a maximum of twelve inches. Though relatively low level, This technique has durability similar to level 3 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 2 strength. [break][break] Shikotsumyako (Dead Bone Pulse)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: -[break] Type: Passive/Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x2 Mid (optional)[break] The primary attribute of the Kaguya clan’s bones is that they are seemingly indestructible. They have been shown to be able to withstand severe amounts of pressure (sand burial and giant sand burial), as well as immunity to splitting beneath lacerations of any traditional caliber. This is the true gift of the Kaguya clan, allowing them to use themselves as both a shield and a weapon. For a taijutsu-specialized clan, there is no greater achievement. Unfortunately, the composition of the Kaguya's bone structure makes healing them incredibly difficult, and any healing techniques used on clan members carry a 50% chance of failing completely. A Kaguya Clan Member's bones are considered to be on the same durability level as level 6 defense.[break][break] Note: This technique was created solely for the sake of limitations. While the Kaguya clan do possess stronger than natural bones, it is the optional activation of this technique that must be employed to allow them to withstand truly unnatural levels of force (such as that incurred by techniques/high ranked weaponry). This technique can be employed at any time, presuming the user has the chakra to facilitate it. However, it should be noted that truly devastating abilities (things like Kirin) will still cause unparalleled damage to the user. As a passive technique, this causes Kaguya to naturally reduce the damage from all incoming physical/melee attacks by a staggering 50%, and makes them completely immune to the 'bone breaking' abilities of Taijutsu/Ninjutsu attacks, regardless of the techniques rank.[break][break] Teshi Sendan (Ten Finger Drilling Bullets)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x2 Mid, x2 High+ (Optional)[break] One of the only long-Range:d techniques in the Kaguya’s arsenal, this allows them to “reach” their opponent even if not with their own hand. Through intense control of their body’s muscle and skeletal system, the muscles in the Kaguya’s fingertips begin to contract, pushing the bone in the fingertip out through the surface of the skin. At the users will, the bones will fire off as drilling bullets. These bones are powerful tools, capable of drilling through most standard defenses, and can pierce techniques [break][break] Note: The chakra cost applies to firing all ten bullets (one for each finger). However, even if a user decides to shoot only one bullet from a single finger, the cost does not lessen. By paying a x2 High Cost, the user can increase the size of these bullets to that of an entire fist (each), though if used this will leave them incapable of using their hands to perform Taijutsu techniques for the remainder of the thread. The first tier mastery is the only way to circumvent this drawback. This technique has durability similar to level 3 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 3 strength.[break][break] Beyond a distance of 10 meters, the user must pay an additional Massive per meter they would like to extend the projectiles Range:. [break][break] Tsubaki no Mai (Dance of the Camellia)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x3 Mid[break] Tsubaki no Mai is the second of five dance forms. Using the Kaguya’s corpsebone ability to manipulate their bone structure, the user will remove a long bone in the form of a sword from their shoulder. Because of the bloodline, the density of the bone can be increased many times so that it is as hard as steel. The user then stabs chaotically and continuously which causes the opponent’s eyes to lag behind; the speed resembles afterimages, the hand with the sword is again and again visibly projected.[break][break] The movement is irregular which makes it difficult to predict (requires at least a Three Tomoe Sharingan). With each thrust the sword’s track is very capable of changing; the attack comes from unexpected angles, causing a person’s delicate defense reaction to come off guard.[break][break] Note: The sword in question cannot exceed a claymore in size. Furthermore, it should be noted that despite being as hard and durable as steel, this bone is virtually weightless. This technique has durability similar to level 3 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 3 strength.[break][break] Honemi (Smiling Head)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x2 Mid, High (optional)[break] Though usually focused on the larger bones of their skeletal structure, the teeth are also bone, and with this technique can further demonstrate the power of their Kekkei Genkai. Once used, the Kaguya Clan member opens their jaws as wide as possible, forcing chakra into their teeth and increasing their size and power, creating a mouth full of foot-long fangs which twist out towards an enemy's position. The user can utilize these vicious fangs in a powerful bite attack, ripping chunks out of their opponents, or merely stabbing them with multiple sharpened incisors.[break][break] Note: By paying a High cost, the user can leave these fangs embedded in opponents, which seem to twist themselves deeper into an opponents flesh and causing even more damage. Once the technique ends (after one turn), the user's normal teeth are regrown. This technique has durability similar to level 2 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 3 strength.[break][break] Yanagi no Mai (Dance of the Willow)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x1 High, x1 Mid to cast, Mid to sustain[break][break] The first of the five Kaguya dances. Using the abilities of their bloodline, the user will grow and multiple long, sharp bones from various parts of their body (one through each palm; one out of each elbow; one out of each knee, arching up; one from the back at the shoulder blades). These staves extend up to moderate lengths (one foot) and are razor sharp. Using fluid and precise movements, they will then proceed to impale their opponents much like an unpredictable, shaking willow tree. Combined with a simple spinning motion, this can prove deadly for all those in the immediate area.[break][break] Note: This technique has durability similar to level 4 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 4 strength. Karamatsu no Mai (Dance of the Larch)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x2 High to cast, x2 Mid to sustain[break][break] Karamatsu no Mai is the third of five dance forms. After activating their special chakra that allows them free-flowing bone manipulation, the Kaguya will begin to extend multiple bones from their body, protruding almost instantly from their flesh and out their rib cage, radius and ulna. Because they are hard as steel, these bones can act as a strong defensive mechanism against incoming strikes. Due to this they will also serve as an offensive attack to allow the Kaguya to move with little effort to impale their opponents.[break][break] Note: This technique essentially allows the user to cover a very large portion of their body in foot long pikes of hard-as-steel bone. This not only allows the user to effectively defend themselves more easily, but attack as well. This technique has durability similar to level 4 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 4 strength.[break][break] Kotsuryoku (Pressure Bone)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: High, x2 High upkeep[break] The user can take any previously manipulated bone creation in their grasp and infuse it with a scattering rotation of chakra, shattering it. With this specialized application, the shattered bone does not harmlessly disperse but instead becomes a particulate cloud of tiny dense shrapnel, which can be further manipulated by the Kaguya. This cloud of bone dust, while incapable of causing lethal damage, can be moved around the field and take on a variety of different forms. The most devastating ability of this technique occurs once it is ended; the bone dust returns to solid form in whatever new shape it's user has given it, and has its natural toughness restored upon reforming.[break][break] Note: The new shape(s) formed by the cloud cannot exceed the maximum size of the bone used to form it. The cloud itself loses its trademark durability in this shattered form, and can be destroyed/blown away by relatively weak techniques capable of doing so. It should be noted however, that so long as the upkeep is paid, the user retains control of the shattered bone, and may circumvent attempts to get rid of or destroy it. This technique has durability similar to level 1 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 5 strength.[break][break] Tessenka no Ma (Dance of the Clematis)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x2 High (per half of the technique), High to sustain[break] The fourth dance of the Kaguya style, Tessenka no Ma is separated into two separate parts: the Vine and the Flower. Both are used in conjunction with each other for optimal effectiveness against an opponent, because as how one is virtually useless without the other. The vine portion of the technique involves the Kaguya user removing their spinal cord, a process which drastically increases its length as they do so (up to five meters long) in an effort to use as an incredibly potent whip. The second half, known as the flower, involves condensing a very large portion of bone with a very high amount of chakra, and then enveloping one of the user’s arm in this sheath-of-a-pike-like weapon. Due to its size, and the sheer amount of power put into creating it, the “flower” is harder than any steel and can easily pierce even the most impressive barriers.[break][break] Note: In order for the user to effectively use this technique, they will need to offer an increment of x1 Massive to in order to produce both the “vine” and “flower” aspect of the jutsu. By offering just x2 High, they user will be able to choose which portion of the technique they wish to manifest; they can, at any time this technique is active, bring forth the other half (though it will still cost them the chakra requirement). This technique has durability similar to level 6 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 6 strength.[break][break] The moment that a user refuses to fuel the drain of this technique, the bone used to facilitate it will instantly shatter into harmless fragments. This technique can only be performed once per thread.[break][break] Sesshi Dangai (Precipice World Incisor)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x3 High, Massive (Optional)[break] By concentrating the necessary chakra throughout their entire body, the Kaguya creates a completely skeletal clone of themselves standing besides them. It is the same size as their own body, but is only bone, and is created in whatever position the user was in once formed. This technique is perfect to be used in tandem with grappling maneuvers, and can be performed while the user is holding an enemy in a comprising position, allowing them to 'peel off' from the skeletal clones position and move freely, even as the clone holds their enemy in place. This can be used to secure anything in place that the user themselves could reasonably hold on to, and can only be broken by S Rank or higher techniques. [break][break] Note: Once something has been latched onto the user can pay a Massive cost, forcing this clone to 'sharpen' itself, adding a razor sharp quality throughout its entire surface, which can eviscerate nearly anything caught within. Unlike ninjutsu or genjutsu binding techniques, the physical nature of the skeletal clone makes the use of 'bursts' of chakra to free oneself useless, unless the rank of such a burst is high enough to warrant shattering the construct. This can only be used once per thread, and requires a full turn of charging prior to use (the Kaguya can still move freely during this charge period, however). This technique has durability similar to level 6 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 5 strength. and speed similar to the user. [break][break] Sawaribi no Mai (Dance of the Seedling Fern)[break] Rank: S[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: x2 Massive, High (Optional)[break] Sawarabi no Mai is the fifth and final dance of the Kaguya style. After activating their highest level of special chakra, the Kaguya quickly grows a multitude of tall spikes from their body to create a large forest of bones; this bone genesis takes place incredibly quick, and since it shares the unique bloodline trait that renders the Kaguya user’s bones as hard as steel, they will move effortlessly to strike anything in their path and render it a slashed up mush. While in this form, the Kaguya can merge into the bone trees to attack their target from whichever spike they want to, moving at frightening speeds from within their fortress of ivory.[break][break] Note: This technique can only be performed once per thread. This bone forest will expand up to a maximum of twenty-five meters in all directions (this means in height, as well), with each additional High paid extending the bone forest for an additional 10 meters in every direction. The ability to merge with this forest will only be viable for five posts following the creation of the forest. Furthermore, this ability takes a full post of preparation (in which no other jutsu may be cast), but once charged, sprouts near instantaneously from all around them. This forest stays in place once cast, until the user wishes to dispel it, at which point it harmlessly shatters around them. This technique has durability similar to level 9 defense and piercing/slashing power similar to level 5 strength, user moves at +2 their normal speed in forest.[break][break] ulla [newclass=.believeBG]background-color:#fff;width:400px;padding-bottom:20px;border-radius:10px;box-shadow:#ccc 4px 4px 5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeHead]background-image:url(https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.6fd770e430e8cd1667e50b2a5efbb4ed?rik=KiUdIsNm5gG5rQ&riu=http%3a%2f%2fpa1.narvii.com%2f5925%2f8058fd44e282fccf140f5dd0f45807965e6a5138_00.gif&ehk=VTXcNaiTBUW2O3IWcJ1Ehn7x%2bAfOCCbwHaI7fjWE7ps%3d&risl=&pid=ImgRaw&r=0);background-position:center center;border-radius:10px 10px 0 0;height:175px;-webkit-clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon]-webkit-transform:rotate(-39deg);float:left;margin-top:-70px;margin-left:50px;border:#fff 5px solid;background-color:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon IMG]width:65px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody]padding:20px 40px;font-family:arial;font-size:10px;text-align:justify;color:#3a3a3a;line-height:12px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody b]color:#000;font-family:varela round;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody i]color:#888;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton]background-image:url(https://i.pinimg.com/originals/49/98/9e/49989e61e44b15452f882ce5f8ba1af6.gif);background-position:center center;-webkit-filter:grayscale(60%);height:40px;width:80%;border-radius:80px;box-shadow:#ccc 1px 1px 3px;color:#fff;line-height:40px;font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:10px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton a]color:#fff!important;font-weight:400!important;[/newclass] [googlefont=Varela Round]

One Day at a time

Prelude -
When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?
