[nospaces] [attr="class","believeBG"] [attr="class","believeHead"] [attr="class","believeIcon"] [attr="class","believeBody"] Yet another Kekkei Genkai whose origins lie in the unknown, the Sasanagi nonetheless found it easy to make themselves famous thanks to their strange and odd natural-born powers. Hailing strictly from the way of the Spider, the Bloodline essentially allows the user to become a human spider. Although they are born with the appearance of a normal human baby, two stubs on each of the baby's sides, four in total, represent the extra appendages that usually grow in rapidly within the first two years of child-rearing and development. With such an early growth, the Sasanagi clan members become rapidly used to moving and active with all six arms at once, making their instincts unlike anyone else.[break][break] Another form of organic maturity and evolution comes from their systems within, and how they can metabolize a special 'Sticky Gold' fluid, akin to that of a spider's web. However, unlike a natural web, this golden essence can harden to near-steel levels, providing a unique sense of defense and offense birthed from the user's very pores. Finally, to crown their connection to the Arachnid Kingdom, all Sasanagi share a deep bond with their spider-summoning familiars. Obscure stories as to the origins of the spider-men exist, mostly in horror due to their appearance, but the truth is unknown - the only valid point is the solid bond the clan members share with their spiders.[break][break] Restrictions [break][break] 1. Due to the Sasanagi's unorthodox body, they can perform multiple jutsu simultaneously. However, due to the strain that this places upon the body, players may only cast two c-rank techniques and below simultaneously. Furthermore, these techniques must be viable: this means that a user may not perform two techniques at the same time which require them to spit from the mouth.[break][break] 2. Sasanagi may only have spider-esque summons family contracts.[break][break] I. SPIDER-SENSE - It is no secret that the Sasanagi clan favors spiders. After extended periods of rigorous training, certain members of the clan have also learned how to increase certain aspects of their sensory attributes. Developing a slit sensillae in their joints, Sasanagi clan members can detect a wide variety of forces and vibrations, from a step on the ground to the faintest gusts of wind. Because of this, they can track all feasible targets and movements within a three meter radius. This mastery can only be used once every three turns.[break][break] II. PARALYTIC ICHOR - Mutating the "sticky gold ichor" their body naturally produces, the Sasanagi clan member has developed a highly paralytic poison they are capable of excreting from their body. This ichor can be applied to any Sasanagi technique (only one at a time), or any item in their possession (these can be stacked, as in should the user poison their sword and not strike an opponent, they can poison a kunai and now have two poisoned items). It should be noted that the strength of this poison is only capable of effecting one person per application, and can only be used once evey five posts. The victim of this poison will, for every post, lose 10% mobility until reaching 100% paralysis (for a total of two posts).[break][break] III. THE AMBIDEXTROUS SPIDER - It's no secret that one of the Sasanagi clan's greatest abilities is one afforded to them by their extra set of arms. However, due to the strain and focus it requires (simultaneously molding two separate chakra natures, in most cases) the power of the techniques they may conjure suffers somewhat terribly. However, with greater dedication, those who have mastered their clan's style have learned to marginally increase their output. This mastery effectively raises the jutsu bar one may cast simultaneously to B-rank, up from C-rank.[break][break] Kumo Nento (Spider Sticking Spit)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 2[break] Chakra Consumption: Low[break] The more controlled version of the Spider Web Flower, this technique grants the user more functionality. After performing the necessary handseals, the user will emit a sticky jet of webbing from their mouth. If it grabs a hold of the target, the user can then whip their head and swing\throw the captured victim where they wish.[break][break] Note: this technique has durability similar to level 1 defense[break][break] Kumo Endo (Spider Long Walk)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: -[break] Type: Passive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: -[break] Being as close to spiders as human beings can be, the Sasanagi is capable of walking along, hanging from or otherwise supporting themselves on any Kumonenkin or Kumonendo creation. By using the chakra infused into the golden creations, or web, when it was created, the corresponding chakra in whatever part of the body is in contact with the thread responds automatically, and the user can support themselves with ease on even the flimsiest Kumonenkin or Kumonendo. Despite all of its utility, it cannot be used on threads created by Kumosouiki, given how fragile they are.[break][break] Note: As stated, this only applies to Sasanagi-created web. Likewise, despite their perfect balance on this web, this does not mean that the user cannot be caught off guard or knocked off of it (i.e they aren’t glued onto it and immovable). This technique was created by Daisy. this technique has durability similar to level 1 defense[break][break] Kumo Nenkin (Spider Sticky Gold)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: -[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Low[break] Arguably the most rudimentary technique in the Sasanagi’s reserves, this allows the user to create objects via their spider sticky gold substance. After performing the necessary handseals, the user will generate a blob of their Spider Sticky Gold into their mouth, chewing and shaping it as they see fit. Once finished, they will emit it into the air where it will instantly harden into a golden material that is just as strong as the finest steel.[break][break] Note: Up to five small weapons can be made per cast (shuriken, kunai, senbon, etc), or three medium weapons (daggers, tanto, arrows, etc) per cast, or two large weapons (katanas, nodachi, large arrows, etc) per cast. this technique has durability similar to level 3 defense[break][break] Kumo Souka (Spider Web Flower)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Low per net spit[break] A special adhesive net released from the user’s mouth, these nets, created with a chakra coating, stick to their prey and do not let go. The nets themselves are fairly small (capable of only capturing a single person) but can be created in a split second, and rapidly fired off in clusters to increase the rate of capture. Anyone captured by the two-layered nets is plastered to an object behind them.[break][break] Note: this technique has durability similar to level 4 defense[break][break] Kumo Mayu (Spider Cocoon)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 4[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid[break] This technique begins with the user spewing countless ropes of webbing around the area, hooking them either upon nearby trees or the ground. After performing the necessary handseals, this web will then immediately converge on the user’s target, wrapping them in a thick cocoon and suspending them in the air.[break][break] Note: Like most trap techniques, once a target is inside the cocoon it’s very difficult to get out. Not only because of the restricted movement (thusly limiting the ability to make handseals), but the thick layer of chakra coursing through the cocoon. this technique has durability similar to level 3 defense[break][break] Kumo Soukei (Spider Web Area)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Low per turn[break] Like a spider and their web, the Sasanagi have learned to create large sensory fields to which they can gather information. By connecting a single thread of webbing from their fingers to an object, the user can then send chakra through the spider web to instantly detect the approach of any enemies who unwittingly touch either the object in question or the webbing, itself. These threads spread in all directions and are so sensitive, that not even the slightest disturbance of air goes unnoticed. Additionally, the threads are so thin, they can hardly be seen, yet they are stronger than steel wires.[break][break] Kumo Renda (Spider Barrage)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: 1[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid per cluster of 3[break] While the Sasanagi is already capable of creating almost anything from their dangerous golden spit, this jutsu allows the user to simply spit out their creations in the form of projectiles, flying in whatever direction the user wishes. Only creations within the same dimensions as secondary weapons, and similar items can be spat effectively.[break][break] Note: this technique has piercing similar to level 3 Strength [break][break] Kumo Shibari (Spider Bind)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: 1[break] Chakra Consumption: Mid[break] After performing the necessary handseal, the user will then gather a large amount of highly chakra-coated webbing into their mouth. Once they are close enough to their target(s), the user will then spit the web out into a large spider web-like pattern. This web can envelop several foes (up to three) and pin them down to a nearby surface. This highly infused web requires a great deal of either cutting strength or sheer force to break.[break][break] Note: this technique has durability similar to level 5 defense[break][break] Kumo Kenshi (Spider Silk Thread)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Chakra Consumption: Low per thread[break] Although the Sasanagi may spit their threads at an opponent, there are more uses to the creation than simply that. With this technique, the Sasanagi clan member can create lengths of thread for any purpose, and these may also be produced under the Sasanagi's fingernails (for a total of ten threads). Lengths of thread may be used for their sticky properties to subdue opponents, or expelled at heights to ascend quickly; the possibilities are limitless, aside from the range. [break][break] Note: These threads are tethers that are roughly the size of an average person’s finger; they’re very visible in broad daylight. These threads possess a reasonable amount of force (capable of lifting and restraining a fully grown man effortlessly). This technique also allows the user to manipulate objects that their webs have wrapped around (such as picking up and throwing objects, or making a person move if they’ve been restrained).[break][break] It should be noted that if thread is cut or destroyed in any way, it will become immobile and thusly unable to be used. The user can then “severe” it at their fingernail, and emit another in its place. this technique has durability similar to level 5 defense[break][break] No other techniques may be cast while the user has threads capable of being manipulated active. This technique was created by Daisy.[break][break] Kumosoukai (Spider Web Unrolling)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m)[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: 4[break] Chakra Consumption: 2x Mid[break] Considered the greater vision of the Kumo Shibari, this web is drastically larger. After performing the necessary handseals, they release a small ball of highly compacted webbing from their mouth (the size of a baseball). On command, this sphere will detonate and explode in the direction that the user is facing it. By spreading the webbing out as it moves forward via all six of their arms, the Sasanagi user can form a massive next (roughly 15x15 meters) in a conical fashion directly in front of them. This is best used on enemies who are in the air, limiting their ability to avoid it. Once captured, the web restricts with such force that any form of movement is utterly impossible. It has been demonstrated that this web can be destroyed through the Hyuuga clan’s Gentle Fist style, and likely other channeling abilities.[break][break] Note: This is arguably the strongest web that the Sasanagi can create, and holds their highest form of chakra. This web is capable of capturing up to ten people effortlessly, and can hold a maximum of five tons in weight.this technique has durability similar to level 7 defense[break][break] Nenkin no Yoroi (Armor of Sticky Gold)[break] Rank: S[break] Range: -[break] Type: Defensive[break] Handseals: 2 to cast, 1 to deactivate[break] Chakra Consumption: High to activate; Low – Mid to repair[break] Kumo Nenkin no Yoroi is a true testament to the sticky gold fluid’s strength. Taking advantage of their body’s ability to create a form of metal through their sticky gold, the Sasanagi is able to create a layer of armor over their skin through their pores. However, unlike the typical Sticky Gold, this armor only becomes visible after it’s been struck and during repairs. This armor also protects the user’s tenketsu from abilities such as the Hyuuga clan’s Gentle Fist style.[break][break] Note: This armor can defend the user from a substantial amount of damage, both in the forms of Ninjutsu and Taijutsu (and sometimes even a combination of both). With this, the user is capable of dampening the damage from raw explosives and or preventing a considerable amount of piercing\blunt damage from mundane weapons. Chakra-infused weapons, however, still pose a great deal of threat to the user.[break][break] Repairing a small amount of damage (i.e a limb or small space like the forearm) requires but a Low increment of chakra. However, repairing medium or large portions (anything that is 30% or more of the armor) requires a Mid increment of chakra. this technique has durability similar to level 8 defense[break][break] No jutsu outside of the Sasanagi clan specific techniques may be cast while this armor is activated.[break][break] Kumo Senkyou: Suzaku (Spider War Bow: Terrible Split)[break] Rank: S[break] Range: Far (10m+)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: 3[break] Chakra Consumption: High to cast, Low per arrow[break][break] The ultimate killing technique in the Sasanagi arsenal, Kumo Senkyou: Suzaku is a destructive archery technique that is considered the perfect one-hit kill. When at a comfortable distance, and after performing the necessary handseals, the user expels a large clump of Spider Sticky Gold from their mouth and gathers it into the form a large war bow. Through a combination of using additional web to levitate themselves, and using all “eight legs,” the user can boost the tension in the bow to extraordinary levels. Also, by attaching a chakra thread to the arrow the user can control it up to 50 meters from their target, achieving an astounding level of accuracy.[break][break] The power of their arrows can create craters in the ground, and can be further augmented by adding a drill to the arrowhead. The arrow impact with the drill added can pile-drive through multiple large trees on the way to its target, as well as prevent change in trajectory when piercing through said obstacles.[break][break] Note: This technique requires that the Sasanagi have all eight legs (both normal legs, and all six of their additional arms) to achieve the aforementioned level of power. Otherwise, this will simply function as a typical bow and arrow like ability that is substantially weaker than what is described. this technique has durability similar to level 5 defense and pircing power similar to level 8 Strength[break][break] ulla [newclass=.believeBG]background-color:#fff;width:400px;padding-bottom:20px;border-radius:10px;box-shadow:#ccc 4px 4px 5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeHead]background-image:url(https://pa1.narvii.com/6539/6931482a3f71a45b2feba6d00def4cf50b98920c_hq.gif);background-position:center center;border-radius:10px 10px 0 0;height:175px;-webkit-clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon]-webkit-transform:rotate(-39deg);float:left;margin-top:-70px;margin-left:50px;border:#fff 5px solid;background-color:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon IMG]width:65px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody]padding:20px 40px;font-family:arial;font-size:10px;text-align:justify;color:#3a3a3a;line-height:12px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody b]color:#000;font-family:varela round;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody i]color:#888;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton]background-image:url(https://i.pinimg.com/originals/49/98/9e/49989e61e44b15452f882ce5f8ba1af6.gif);background-position:center center;-webkit-filter:grayscale(60%);height:40px;width:80%;border-radius:80px;box-shadow:#ccc 1px 1px 3px;color:#fff;line-height:40px;font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:10px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton a]color:#fff!important;font-weight:400!important;[/newclass] [googlefont=Varela Round]

One Day at a time

Prelude -
When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?
