[nospaces] [attr="class","believeBG"] [attr="class","believeHead"] [attr="class","believeIcon"] [attr="class","believeBody"] FUTAEKEN[break] Despite the brutal nature of their fighting style, users of the Goken style are rather quick on their feet. Because of this, they're capable of performing exceptional feats in hand to hand combat. Because of this, once per turn, the user may perform two Goken techniques in one action (so long as it's physically possible).[break][break] SHATSU NO KEN[break] Whether through rigorous exercise or indiscriminate altercation, the Goken practitioner's lifestyle has left them better equipped to handle the heavy demands of releasing their body's chakra gates. As a result, their recovery from Hachimontonkou usage is decreased by two turns.[break][break] TEKKEN[break] Practitioners of the Goken style are known for the sheer brutality of their techniques, from the most basic and rudimentary to the most elite and forbidden. Masters of this style boast impressive high-impact capabilities, giving them a higher chance to damage their enemy with blunt force. This mastery gives the user a 25% chance to break the victim's bones (1 - 25 on the dice roll) with Goken techniques of E - D rank; 50% chance with Goken techniques of C - B rank; and 75% chance with techniques A - S rank.[break][break] Goken (Strong Fist)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: -[break] Type: Passive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Low[break] Strong Fist is a Taijutsu style, the purpose of which is to cause extreme forms of external damage to a target, alongside breaking as many bones as possible. It is the exact opposite of the Gentle Fist, which is used exclusively by the Hyuuga clan. This style of fighting involves smashing your opponent and is generally used only by extremely physically powerful and dominating shinobi. [break] Note: For a Low increment of chakra, Goken practitioners can marginally raise the destructive force of any standard attack (non-jutsu) they perform; each strike will have a 10% chance to break the target’s bones. This cannot stack with the Goken Tier 3 Mastery, Tekken.[break][break] Dainamikku Entori (Dynamic Entry)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Low[break] This technique is essentially nothing more than the user performing a jumping kick into their opponent’s face. By focusing chakra into their feet, the user can quickly and effectively spring toward an unsuspecting victim and land their assault. This is best used with a distraction, such as a thrown kunai, so that the user can take advantage of the target’s blind spot.[break][break] Dainamikku Akushyon (Dynamic Action)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Low[break] Another relatively basic technique, the user will first flip towards their opponent (for flare; this is not necessary) and then proceeds to assault them with a flurry of punches and kicks (for a maximum of five). While somewhat more advanced than its counterpart, Dynamic Entry, these blows are hardly threatening in the grand scheme of things.[break][break] Note: Like most techniques that involve multiple hits, presuming the target is hit by the first attack, the subsequent four will automatically connect.[break][break] Konoha Reppuu (Leaf Gale)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Low[break] This technique is a good example of how even simple taijutsu can become a pre-eminently destructive, lethal technique. The attack is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying on their back as if they weighed nothing. The goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body.[break][break] Konoha Senpuu (Leaf Whirlwind)[break] Rank: D[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Low[break] A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint.[break][break] Raiken (Thunder Fist)[break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Mid[break] Yet another wild and unpredictable Goken technique, the user proceeds to rush at their opponent with all their might, jump and then spin to gain momentum, so that they may lay a powerful strike onto their target.[break][break] Note: If struck in the head, the victim will be severely dazed for a total of two posts (25% reduced vision, 25% reduced hearing, 50% reduced balanced). If struck in the stomach the victim will vomit.[break][break] Rank: C[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: - [break] Stamina Consumption: Mid (1 Low per shinobi)[break] A tandem jutsu, this involves two Goken style users performing the Leaf Whirlwind upon a single target. Due to the combined force of this technique, the chances of physical injury are drastically higher than the traditional Leaf Whirlwind when performed by a single shinobi.[break][break] Note: This technique has a 50% chance to break a victim’s bones where struck. This technique can only be performed by two people.[break][break] Suiken (Drunken Fist)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: -[break] Type: Supplementary[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: -Mid[break] Drunken Fist is a kenpō/taijutsu style where, "the more you drink, the drunker you get, and the stronger you become". This unusual taijutsu style is a unique style of combat. It can not be learned, nor can it be taught, or honed and refined through training and practice. Drunken Fist Fighters are not simply drunk, they become human powerhouses who'll strike unpredictably, with no inhibitions, with an explosive fury and without any second thoughts about their actions. Once drunk, the user will lose their ability to know friend from foe and attack whomever is in their vicinity.[break][break] Note: Due to the sporadic and unpredictable nature that this fighting style promotes, predictive dojutsu such as the Sharingan are entirely ineffective against it. Likewise, allowing their bodies to give into their drunken thoughts, the user boasts impressive feats of heightened agility and reflex (even when compared to a Taijutsu Primary) and is capable of extraordinary feats (such as stopping mid-motion while bending backwards, as demonstrated in the series). It should be noted that while drunk, the user is restricted solely to Goken-based techniques and cannot utilize heavily focusing abilities such as the Eight Celestial Gates. Furthermore, this state can only be sustained for a maximum of ten posts after a user has had some form of a alcoholic beverage.[break][break] Konoha Daisenkou (Leaf Great Flash)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Mid[break] One of the more powerful kicks of the Goken style, this involves charging at the opponent and then unleashing a powerful lateral kick aiming at the head. This kick holds so much force that it can easily knock a fully grown adult off their feet, regardless of if it is blocked, and will undoubtedly render a person unconscious if connecting with the skull as intended.[break][break] Note: This technique will render an opponent unconscious for two full posts if it connects with their head. Presuming their allowed to wake up, they will operate in a dazed state (at 25% capacity) for an additional five posts.[break][break] Konoha Kaiganshou (Leaf Rock-Destroying Rise)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Mid[break] One of the more powerful offensive techniques of the Goken style, this is a taijutsu technique where the user smashes their elbow into their opponent using the other arm as support. It deals a powerful blow to the target and as the name suggests, is even strong enough to destroy coral. Connecting with a human body yields much more devastating results, and can easily shatter bones beneath the inhuman pressure.[break][break] Note: This technique has a 25% chance to shatter the target’s bones of whatever area the user strikes. Likewise, this technique can easily dismantle thick, jagged walls of stone and coral.[break][break] Konoha Gouriki Senpuu (Leaf Strong Whirlwind)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: Mid[break] A taijutsu using a combination of speed and power. The essence of this technique is concentrated in a spinning back kick, with such speed that not a single person can follow the user's movement, smashing his enemy with overwhelming strength.[break] Note: This technique has a 25% chance to shatter the target’s bones of whatever area the user strikes.[break][break] Seishun Furu Pawa (Springtime of Youth Full Power)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: High[break] The user releases a flurry of attacks on the opponent, finally kicking the victim into the air. Once airborne, the user will continue his assault before a powerful drop kick back down earth, emitting a light of "youthful" energy. The technique's name "Springtime of Youth Full Power" comes from the notion that the user's strength is augmented by their youth.[break][break] Note: The maximum number of hits, prior to sending the victim driving down into the earth, is ten. All of these hits combine to do a fairly moderate amount of damage, with the final strike being quite severe. It goes without saying that, presuming a target is not properly defended, this assault could easily render them incapable of doing battle.[break][break] Omote Renge (Front Lotus)[break] Rank: B[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: - [break] Stamina Consumption: High[break] Front Lotus requires the opening of the first of the Eight Chakra Gates, giving the user five times their normal strength. The user launches the opponent into the air and then uses Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Once behind the opponent, the user restrains them and pile-drives them into the ground head first while rotating at a ferocious speed. Because it uses one of the chakra gates, the user is left extremely fatigued, making this technique a "double-edged sword". [break][break] Note: The first of the Eight Chakra Gates must be opened in order to perform this technique. Furthermore, the user must have some form of restrictions (typically bandages) on their person in order to keep their opponent from moving.[break][break] Ura Renge (Reverse Lotus)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: 2x High[break] This technique is an advanced and more destructive version of the Front Lotus, which requires that at least three chakra gates be opened (in every instance in which it has been used, five gates are opened). Once enough gates are open, the user launches the target into the air and strikes them at inhuman speed before hitting them with one arm and one foot, sending the target crashing into the ground. This is usually fatal due to the speed and power behind the attack.[break][break] Note: At least three of the eight Chakra Gates must be opened in order to perform this technique. Due to the immense strain this technique places on the body, stacked with the Gates, themselves, this technique can only be used once per thread.[break][break] Asakujaku (Morning Peacock)[break] Rank: A[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: -[break] Stamina Consumption: x3 High[break] The Morning Peacock is a certain-kill taijutsu born from the philosophy of Goken. The principle of this taijutsu is to rapidly increase the body's abilities by opening up to and including the sixth of the Eight Gates, and then to strike the enemy down with countless punches. The technique is started by kicking the enemy into the air, which for most would be an instant kill. The user then jumps into the air in a distinctive stance and begins punching the enemy repeatedly. The speed of the punches is so fast that they are set ablaze by sheer speed and friction. This creates a peacock-like fan of flaming chakra around the opponent. Once the attack is finished, the enemy will be sent crashing back to the ground, covered with the attack's aura.[break][break] Note: Usage of this technique requires that the user be under the influence of the Sixth Gate. Furthermore, this technique is capable of attacking up to five targets simultaneously with equal lethality. Like most techniques dealing with multiple hits, presuming the first connects, the subsequent plethora of others will, as well.[break][break] Hirudora (Daytime Tiger)[break] Rank: S[break] Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+)[break] Type: Offensive[break] Handseals: 2[break] Stamina Consumption: Massive[break] Chakra Consumption[break] Daytime Tiger, contrary to its appearance, is purely taijutsu in nature and is nothing more than an incredibly fast punch. After opening the seventh of the Eight Gates, the user places a palm facing forward in front of their face with one hand and then taps it with his other hand, formed into a fist, which creates a massive amount of air pressure. Next, the user forms a unique hand seal resembling a tiger, which launches the air pressure at the opponent in the shape of a tiger, by leaving a gigantic tiger-shaped impression into the initially built-up air pressure with the hand seal. The air pressure will condense as it's moving and be focused into a single point. The technique then explodes on command, releasing the built up air pressure in an instant. A massive concussive explosion is created which can be felt a significant distance away.[break] ulla [newclass=.believeBG]background-color:#fff;width:400px;padding-bottom:20px;border-radius:10px;box-shadow:#ccc 4px 4px 5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeHead]background-image:url(https://pa1.narvii.com/6047/b5c336f5f3fc05ba64a13d6dcaa69be241c2bd94_hq.gif);background-position:center center;border-radius:10px 10px 0 0;height:175px;-webkit-clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);clip-path: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 0 75%);[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon]-webkit-transform:rotate(-39deg);float:left;margin-top:-70px;margin-left:50px;border:#fff 5px solid;background-color:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeIcon IMG]width:65px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody]padding:20px 40px;font-family:arial;font-size:10px;text-align:justify;color:#3a3a3a;line-height:12px;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody b]color:#000;font-family:varela round;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeBody i]color:#888;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton]background-image:url(https://i.pinimg.com/originals/49/98/9e/49989e61e44b15452f882ce5f8ba1af6.gif);background-position:center center;-webkit-filter:grayscale(60%);height:40px;width:80%;border-radius:80px;box-shadow:#ccc 1px 1px 3px;color:#fff;line-height:40px;font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:10px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass] [newclass=.believeButton a]color:#fff!important;font-weight:400!important;[/newclass] [googlefont=Varela Round]

One Day at a time

Prelude -
When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?
