When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?

We made it y’all, another month of OTA, and fresh off the press we have another promotion ready. Leaving behind the opening bonus sadly, we welcome the jugggggg! June is for juggin AKA working hard, so we are making it a double rewards month for every mission completed! Yes we said it's double rewards, now you all can really get into the thick of those builds if you work hard enough. And who knows what you might uncover in the process. AND all jobs are free to enroll no quest EXCEPT ANBU(Black Ops) roles.

Family....
A social phenomenon that existed in many species that inhabited the world since time immemorial. The same feeling of love, closeness, and even hatred, has driven creatures apart...as well as together in the name of protection.
With a sense of family often times came with a sense of overpowering love, a love that allowed humans and creatures alike to achieve otherwise impossible feats in the name of it all.
With the snap of a twig, paranoia soon turned into a harsh reality...
All living life within the immediate area fled their earthly homes as the Apex predators entered the fray. Two bears, Two parents; the mother towering 10 meters on its hind legs, and half of that size as a quadrupedal. The Father, a true beautiful beast born and blessed with nature's essence, towered 12 meters on its hind legs.
Red eyes pierced through treeline, momentarily hidden behind peaceful vegetation that'd soon been disturbed by the entrance of the parents. Through the tree-line they soon crossed, revealing themselves as they menacingly entered into the open clearing as a cross formation 15 meters from Xio's. The Father, entering from Xio's rear; The mother from the direct opposite side, behind Honoka.
Growls & Snarls of anger ended a suspenseful silence. And just like that. They rushed towards the Two, converging on opposite ends.
When it rains, it tends to pour when it comes to misfortune it would seem. Not only did she earn the ire of a baby bear that had nearly torn her in half, but it would seem as if that wasn't the end of that particular issue. Kurome lacked the superpowers of observation that her ally had, though she was unaware of this fact, so she had to rely upon her observational skills. The slight rustling was all that she was able to identify, but Xio had heard more it seemed. Pinpointing an exact position, she began to speak before the sound of thudding entered the equation.
From behind Xio, she noted a large bear angry and snarling from behind him, though she was sure he could contend with it. Moments later the bear began its deadly approach, causing Kurome to analyze her possible actions. The problem was their proximity, she didn't want to get in the way so she quickly sped through her seals before paper formed at her shoulder blades and took the form of two large makeshift wings that propelled her into the sky all the while screaming so that he could realize what was happening. It only took a few moments before she was floating fifteen meters above the ground. She wanted to remain close enough for her jutsu to hit, after all.
"Xio behind you!"
Though, getting a birds eye view of the battlefield, she noted that she may have been the lucky one as there was a second set of snarls she hadn't noticed before. Where she was just standing, there was another large bear threatening her friend. It wouldn't make sense to scream about the other bear, and he most likely saw the beast in the first place. Plus, she wasn't there to be some damsel in distress she was there to prove her worth in combat as well. Aiming at the beast who would've charged her into the ground and mauled her, had she not burst off into the air, she formed her seals and shuriken made of paper began forming around her rapidly. When they were finished forming, the twelve of them, they were wrapped in hand-crafted explosive notes before being sent off by Kurome.
With any luck they would sink into her before exploding and wounding her, or, at least the loud noise would discourage her from proceeding any further. Though she was safe and attacking her target, she wondered and only hoped that the boy heard her call and had reacted in time to prevent the bear from charging him. She would've liked to be able to face him down and dissuade that course, but her jutsu weren't necessarily powerful as she had noted to the man earlier. They were incredibly useful and had a variety of applications, but at the moment she lacked anything with proper stopping power other than the combination she was currently relying on. Worried about her showing, she prepared another jutsu in case the counter-attack was worse than she had anticipated.
Pepa Tenshin no Kami (Paper Angel Wings) Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 4 Chakra Consumption: Mid x2, Low (upkeep) Grants the clan member wings that allow them to take flight. After a few simple seals, the clan member can utilize their paper in order to create a flurry of wings meant for stable flight. The wings created by the user can be be any color, size, and type they wish, and will carry them across even the greatest of distances and chasms - as long as the user has enough chakra to continuously power it.
Note: The user can fly at speeds comparable to level 4 speed
Hatoronshi Bakuha (Crafting Paper Explosive Addition) Rank: C Range: - Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Mid As its name implies, the clan member is able to imbue their paper creations with explosive properties. When lit, the effect can spread over a mass amount of paper sheets; when combined with other clan jutsu, the explosive additions result in a truly terrifying offensive combination.
Note: This technique allows the Shikigami to create explosive notes at their will, up to three per post. Likewise, they can also convert a single Pepa Shuriken no Jutsu cast (all of the shuriken associated with the single cast) into explosive rounds. These abilities cannot be used at the same time (you either make notes or turn the shuriken into explosive shuriken). Furthermore, the cost of converting the paper shuriken stacks with the cost of making the shuriken. This technique has explosive power comparable to level 2 strength
Pepa Shuriken no Jutsu (Paper Shuriken Technique) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive Handseals: 2 Chakra Consumption: Mid-High A simple yet effective paper technique. The user can take paper creations of their own and turn them into deadly shuriken. Retaining their infamous strength, these shuriken are sent flying by the user's will, resulting in a deadly barrage of projectiles.
Note: 3 shuriken can be created with the initial Mid cost, and by stacking on another Mid each, up to 12 can be created per use. This technique has durability comparable to level 2 defense, and slicing power comparable to level 2 strength.

A singular word to describe every emotion that ran through his body as he heard the twigs snapping from behind. Without a bit of hesitation, his head whipped in the direction of the breaking woods revealing two large beasts behind the flora beyond the circle where Kurome and Xio stood. As his eyes locked onto the two beasts he could hear crackling paper, before he could be notified the Genin was already in action.
GM revealing themselves as they menacingly entered into the open clearing as a cross formation 15 meters from Xio's. The Father, entering from Xio's rear;
Blessed with a perception that exceeds the normal it was time for work, reacting purely to his thoughts the lava that once sat dormant in his gourd was active and erupting from his gourd like a volcano through its spout. Before they could take a step forward with nothing more than a mental command from Xio while his hand formed a singular seal creating a copy of himself, the lava that escaped from the captivity of his gourd would spread on the ground in front of him. Without much time to react, the genin knew he needed to get these bears to back up, and what better way than a little molten rock the shinobi commanded the Lava forward from his gourd attempting to form a tidal wave to at the least create some type of reaction out of the bears to line up his next move.
"Xio behind you!"
Being the shinobi he was he didn’t need the heads up, but the fact that she screamed from her position let him know that she was no longer on the ground. Whether or not his wave of lava was completely formed or not, the genin wouldn’t sit around and wait to be mauled to death and neither would his clone if his plan didn’t work. SO the clone would form one seal as he pressed forward toward the larger bear attempting to capture its attention while he initiated his jutsu, while the real Xio focused on spacing bouncing back from the clone’s position.
“Akai umi”
The ground beneath the duo of bears would almost instantly be coated with a thin layer of chakra causing the landscape around the clone to shift drastically. There wasn’t a lot he could do in this position considering the size of the bears he was dealing with, being that they were 12 & 10 meters in size they would begin to cover the space in what seemed like an instant if his plan didn’t work even a little bit so melting off a piece of the forest was his only option. If able to form the seal, the area around Xio’s clone in a 30x30 meter radius would be enough to cover the entire open area..

As Xio push back, and if his clone wasn’t managed to initiate its attack Xio would be peddling back with decently sized jumps above the pool of lava while his hands floated through another set of seals.
“Kurome, keep the cover fire coming If you can crank up the heat!”
The genin would say while he continued to survey the situation in front of them while preparing his next move.

Okoreru saru (Raging Ape) Rank: S Range: Self, Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Passive Handseals: -- Chakra Consumption: x1 Low per turn | x2 Mid per action Becoming the host of the Yonbi has blessed Xio Kami with a sentient relationship with the lava release, unlike most people he has a natural immunity to heat and fire in general. This ability coupled with his heritage has given birth to a technique meant to protect the Jinchuriki of the Yonbi, after spending countless hours honing his ability to infuse chakra in lava he spawns as well as natural lava he's hit a plateau. Xio has learned to infuse sentience inside lava he's pre-treated with his own chakra, this lava can function purely on its own or as commanded as long as Xio has the chakra to maintain it. Unlike natural lava as long as Xio has the chakra to support it he can shift its temperatures at will to increase the intensity of the heat, or cool enough to lock things in place while never fully committing to either state.
While this technique is active Xio has the ability to control any lava pretreated with his chakra in a free-form manner. This lava can move up to level 5 speed when being controlled, and it can move in any fashion desired by the user I.E wave, columns, cones, or any other basic shape and the max burning power is comparable to level 7 Strength. Along with the ability to work offensively moving at Xio's command, the lave also can react defensively to incoming attacks. Although this ability only works if he's aware of the incoming attack, it can block most solid jutsu and objects by simply burning it away or getting hard enough to block incoming attacks. This jutsu can block jutsu 7 and below AS long as Xio's aware of the incoming attacks and has time to react.
Note: This technique is the bases for all of Xio's Raging Ape Techniques, and it requires a pretreated source of lava that's created by Xio in an Identified thread. In order for this technique to work, he has to carry a special gourd created by his father to house this lava and constantly feed it his chakra. The amount of Lava is limited to the amount he can carry in his gourd in most cases. Once Xio has Achieved Perfect Host he’s capable of infusing the Yonbi Sentience inside of his lava allowing it to react on it’s own accord!

Akai umi (Sea of Red) Rank: S Range: Self, Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) far ( 20m+) Type: Passive Handseals: 1 Chakra Consumption: x1 Massive’s Akai Umi was developed to create specially treated lava for Xio to use for his unique techniques, this lava is specially treated with his chakra. After forming a singular seal the ground beneath the Shinobi will begin to melt turning everything on the ground in a 50-meter radius into lava. Initially, the lava will be a thin layer that coats the ground but over time can get as deep as 5 meters deep.
Note: Once this technique is initiated it takes 3 turns before the lava is capable of being used for any Okoreru saru techniques and the pool of lava spreads near instantly but it gets deeper by 2 meters per turn before reaching a max of six. This lava has burning power comparable to level 5 strength. This technique generates at least 5000 gallons of lava. This technique requires Okoreru saru.

With the golden ability of flight achieved, the shikigami managed to escape the impending attack of the bear's altogether and naturally mounted an offensive response. Unable to reach the airborne genin, the bear attempted to reach her from its hind legs to which of course, resulted in it being pelted by the twelve shikigami shuriken's that showered mother bear.
Kurome had been wise enough to lace each shuriken with the explosive properties often times seen inscribed along exploding tag notes. Because of her added layer of offense, with their release came a volley of explosions that set off and rocked the immediate area in a symphony mild fire & concussive force.
Once smoke and debris cleared, it revealed the success of Kurome's efforts in the form of a collapsed carcass riddled with openings. All the while, the larger of the two made its way towards Xio, who -on command- summoned forth thick bodies of lava that seamlessly formed into a tidal wave of heat & danger. Since time immemorial even neanderthals used the powers of fire and heat to often times drive off predators that roamed free across the land. With lava, Xio underestimated its influence.
Simple in the mind, the bear, as Xio expected, turned its attention towards the clone, fully recognized as an addition threat within the bear's reach. Rushing ever violently, the ground soon altered its natural essence and swapped place with a layer of searing heat that harmed, damaged, and agitated the bear.
Jolts of pain filled the bears paws as it lost control, tripping and tumbling as it regained its balance momentarily, however, the damage from the lava remained consistent. Instinctively knowing death was imminent, the remaining bear lashed out with a series of rushing swipes toward the clone, claws fully erect.
Kurome tended to be overly analytical and overly cautious, and this scenario proved that she had been in the same mindset now. Evading the danger, Kurome had launched a barrage at one of the bears and was surprised to see that she had left the carcass riddled with holes. She had assumed that her paper ninjutsu wasn't very lethal, but staring at the body of the former mother bear had taught her otherwise. She didn't need to look down on the ability that she was born with, she should embrace and understand it. Smiling, this whole experience was something new for her and so, with the jutsu she had been preparing beforehand, she began to craft several more shuriken once more.
Lacing these shuriken with explosives, her target was the formerly sleeping bear who was now somewhat submerged in lava thanks to the incredibly surprising abilities of her comrade Xio. He possessed above average perception, she would definitely have to find out about that later, and now she saw that he had the fabled Youton nature. She had long heard of a tale of users who had melded earth and fire chakra nature together in order to manipulate molten earth. It was certainly the scariest thing in the world for a Shikigami like Kurome, and seeing it flow beneath her sent a shudder down her spine. One false move, one plummet and she would be reduced to cinders quicker than any other Shinobi.
"I think you've got a handle on things, but that being said..." she casually remarked, giggling a little bit as she teased the man.
But, as it stood, she was in a position to maintain her flight and attack with her chakra reserves and she had no reason to believe a flying monster would pop out of nowhere. Seeing that the bear that had been flanking Xio had been severely shocked, and scared, on top of the physical burns he had sustained confirmed her belief that he would be able to handle himself. If he didn't she would save a few of the shuriken she created in reserve, only sending half at the poor tortured baby that had been caught up in their mayhem. Everything considered, she felt like a Jutsu machine gun at the moment.
"Yeah, I can definitely keep it coming!" she affirmed from her position above him.
Despite her fear of the man, she had no doubt that he would be someone she could train against to her heart's content and such an idea intrigued the young woman. Facing your fears was a way to train yourself that would yield indescribable rewards.
