When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?

In her mind people can excel with few help, solely relying on their own innate talent in order to pursue their goals as there were those who can drag one down, impeding ones progress. This idea was taught to her by her father who sought Mizuko to outperform her peers, letting them know who's boss. Outside of that, the man wouldn't interact with her that much, only offering Mizuko critical advice that can help better her life and avoid being wrapped into something that can bode ill to her Shinobi career. The man allowed her to do things on her own, it was his own way of teaching the young kunoichi how to survive and to remind her that there'll be times when she has to rely on her own skills rather than seeking help from others. She became more bold as she progressed, challenging herself by throwing herself in harms way and helping people anyway she can. Even if they didn't ask for it. Though this often left her with more bruises. She often had a false sense of invincibility as she always managed to get herself back up, even when knocked down a couple of times. While some admired her ardent spirit, others find it suffocating so they took to putting out her flames.
As usual her father didn't intervened, believing that the young kunoichi can learn a lesson or two about jumping in harms way and only having your own back for there aren't many who'll be willing to land a hand. Her father was always right about the way of the world. Her ego was broken, arousing doubt but she didn't stop so see sought ways to improve her abilities so that no one would be able to one up her. Wishing to restore her courage and rekindle the flames that kept her heart beating, she got enrolled in the Shinobi academy, spending most of her time soaking up knowledge and applying them to reality. But she was also goofing around, skipping days to go out and hang with her friends. She was both an exceptional combatant and a gifted strategist; a talent she inherited from her mother who had to frequently leave from time to time, undergoing tasks delivered to her by the village so the young kunoichi hardly see her mother that much except during the holidays. After graduating she became a Genin and took things more seriously, yet still had the time to slack off and goof around here and there. When she was a Genin she gave off the impression that borderline unreliable, as there were times when certain tasks were beneath her such as saving cats from trees. In addition to helping out the elderly.
She expected much more as a Genin, but she was bogged down by others pacing. From time to time she would go out on her own, doing things that proved beneficial. She sometimes surprised her peers, proving to them that she's more than what's led to believe. She kicked it to high gear once the chuuni exams began. With her father watching everything that she does, the young kunoichi's confidence only increased as the exams moved along. She didn't want to disappoint her father being that it would be a slap to the face to everything that was taught to her, so she did everything she could in order to succeed. Even using ones weakness to her advantage. She didn't care how dishonorable it was, so long as it granted the Shinobi results and her results was satisfying. Near the end of the chuunin exam, she was harassed by a barrage of doubts. She couldn't hide how overwhelmed she felt. It was as though she had weights on her shoulders. The Shinobi's doubts began to welcome themselves in the back of her mind, the more she fought opponents with a well of strength as there were others like her who're fighting for something. Near the end of the chuunin exams she didn't arouse the satisfaction that she sought from her father, nevertheless the Shinobi was fine with the results that she got.

I used to trust the media to tell me the truth, tell us the truth. But now, I've seen the pay-offs everywhere I look. Who do you trust when everyone's a crook? Revolution calling, revolution calling, revolution calling you! There's a revolution calling, revolution calling! Gotta make a change, gotta push, gotta push it on through! There's somethin' goin' on! There's a revolution! There's a revolution!
For a price, I'd do about anything except pull the trigger. For that, I'd need a pretty good cause. Then I heard of Doctor X, the man with a cure. Just watch the television; yeah, you'll see there's somethin' goin' on. Got no love for politicians or that crazy scene in D.C. It's just a power-mad town. But the time is ripe for changes - there's a growin' feeling that takin' a chance on a new kind of vision is due.
When I'm tired of all this garbage they keep selling me on T.V. about the Communist plan. And all these shady preachers are beggin' for my cash. Swiss bank accounts while givin' their secretaries the slam. They're all in penthouses now, or Playboy magazine - million dollar stories to tell. I guess Warhol wasn't wrong, fame fifteen minutes long: everybody's usin' everybody, makin' the sale. I used to think that only America's way, way was right. But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives. Gotta make a million, doesn't matter who dies. Revolution calling, revolution calling, revolution calling you! There's a revolution calling, revolution calling! Gotta make a change, gotta push, gotta push it on through!
