Teach one you reach one!
The dismay slowly settled around the training yard as each student was assigned to their usual class, and groups for the day. After a little time passed a group of two boys and a girl would appear in front of Xio, each of them sported a large grin on their face and was dressed appropriately for a day at the academy it was a great site to see. Xio would offer a head nod to the young group as he gestured to speak to them for the first time.
“Good morning, My name is Kami, Xio and it’s nice to meet you all. Today I will be your instructor, I will do my best to show you a replicable jutsu today. Also, I’ll give you a little insight about how boring, I mean fun it is to be a Shinobi.”
Each of the boys would nod their head with excitement before the young girl stepped up, dressed in a green shirt the perspective shinobi had a question.
“Aren’t you the genin who captured those criminals in the newspaper recently?”
When the young girl spoke her eyes lit up as if she was asking a rhetorical question, causing Xio to smile a little.
“I don’t think so, maybe it was my cousin?”
Speaking playfully to the academy student Xio would begin to go through his process for the day.
“But anyways, enough about me do you all have names?”
Each of the students would nod in unison.
“Ichi” A boy in a black shirt said,
“Nii” said the next boy dressed in blue,
“San, my name is Mr. Kami!” She would shout with a little more excitement than the other two.
After the kids finished their introduction Xio would begin to nod his head once more before he would steady himself to speak.
“Alright now that we’ve got that note lets go over a few of my tools.”
Reaching into his ninja bag he would pull out a normal kunai with the loop end on his finger, he would twirl it around for a second before catching it with its tip pointing up.
“Okay, I know you guys have done loads of Kunai drills but I want to tell you it was for a great reason. This tool probably be one of the most useful tools you learn to wield as a shinobi, I know it’s basic but if you your hone skills enough it can become deadly as some of the most powerful Jutsu.
This brings us to our next tool.”
He would slide the kunai back into the bag and replace it with a few shurikens, three to be exact. As he pulled the stars out of his bag, they were placed in between his first appearing more as shuriken knuckles from their vantage.
“One of the main rules you want to follow as a shinobi is to lead with misdirection, and these stars are a gateway into creating space for yourself to work! Without experience when faced with combat, the first thing you do is run to jutsu, but it’s a surefire way to get caught up! You never know who you can be dealing with so always test the waters with things like Kunai’s and stars.”
After he finished speaking, he would tuck the stars away back into his bag.
“But I can go all day about the small tools in my bag, but the last thing I will cover is my scythe.”
Without much effort he would pull the large weapon from the holster on his back and slam the pole end of it into the ground in front of him causing a little dust to come up.
“Soon after the academy, you’ll be given the chance to select a main weapon, make sure you choose wisely. Don’t go after something that you haven’t trained with, if possible, but here’s my weapon it’s a scythe. It isn’t the fanciest thing in the world, but it gets the job done. Your main weapon should be like a third hand to you when you’re in combat. If you can before you go swinging your fingers swing your weapons as my father always told me.”
after finishing his speech, he would slide the weapon back into the holster on his back.
“Alright, who’s ready for the jutsu?”
All three of the kids would nod in excitement.
