When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?

Kurome had spent a lot of time inactively, simply taking on missions within her means and then training on her off time. She found that there was nothing that sparked her passion, nothing that motivated her to move forward. Of course there were always promotions yet even then she had to find a will, a reason that would propel and compel her to finish.
That had been lacking, rather majorly, and so she decided that today would be a different change of pace. Instead of the usual D-rank missions that she would typically take on, she figured that today she would take on a C-rank mission which could be considered difficult for a Genin depending on the circumstances of the actual mission and what it entailed.
Today's mission was both a mix of her specialty and something that she wasn't the best at, which was exactly what she needed. The mission detailed a Hyūga who had been kidnapping individuals, women of course, and holding them captive within his compound. While Kurome was exceptional at espionage and stealthy missions, the problem lay within his Byakugan.
The moment he activated it, any sort of secretive technique or maneuvers that she had planned or planted would immediately be exposed and that was a major problem for her. To find success, she would need a multi-layered multi-pronged assault with several contingencies luckily this was perfectly inside of her area of expertise.
She was all serious business today, her unorthodox school girl clothing was fresh and the headband around her thigh was fastened tightly. She had a Longbow strapped to her back along with a quiver of arrows ready to be launched at a moment's notice. Along for this mission, she had brought along her binoculars so that she could fully take advantage of her jutsu and the various applications that could be unleashed. For any good mission, the most important portion was the gathering of information.
With this in mind, as soon as she arrived close to her destination, she attempted to extinguish her chakra signature. Because the manor was higher in the mountains, there were far less trees surrounding it than the area surrounding. To make up for this deficit, Kurome began hatching a nefarious plot in order to both observe and set up an offensive.
As she approached, slowly throughout the day, she was utilizing her Paper Camouflage technique creating several false paper trees. Her goal here was to eavesdrop and collect information while having an area of her own to retreat to. The process was slow, because she didn't want the man to suddenly notice that the forest had moved in on him.
She just wanted a friendly zone, one whose details were known only by her. She spent most of the first day doing recon and formulating her plan, figuratively and literally. As the sun set and the moon came out to play, she decided that it was time to get closer and get an idea of how many people she would have to contend with. There were two entrances, three if you counted the roof as an option, and each entrance was guarded by three men.
"The young master said that if we see anything out of the ordinary to blow the alarm as soon as possible. We don't want to piss him off any more than he already is," she heard a guard say as she stealthily approached the building. Thankfully, they had only come out at night so they wouldn't have noticed the trees she had erected - just yet. She noted that there were a ton of windows scattered throughout, but not only did they have decently thick glass, but they were also covered in iron bars. She clicked her tongue in annoyance, the paranoia of the young man was going to turn out much more of a nuisance than Kurome had initially expected. But that was fine, she had nothing but time on her side and still grasped the element of surprise.
Feeling that she had done enough for the moment, she retreated and finished her preparations. When everything was as sorted as it could be, she coated herself in brown paper so as to properly blend in with her surroundings while she gained a few hours of sleep. She didn't want to deprive herself of sleep and then sloppily make a mistake. So she allowed herself just enough to keep functioning, thoughts of how she would proceed tomorrow filled her mind.

She awoke as the sun rose, glaring gleefully into her eyes and announced that it was time for her to wake up and resume her activities. The papers that were covering her slipped off and reverted to normal and she yawned and stretched. So long as she didn't give him any reason to panic and check his surroundings, the hardest part would be confronting the young lord himself. All of this set up work was more or less her cautious nature rearing its ugly head. She was the type who could, perhaps on occasion, become lost within her own machinations. Today's plans were far more forward than the previous day, as she had already performed the necessary recon. The guards swapped off twice a day, morning and night, though on this endeavor she wanted to take care of as much opposition as she could manage.
It was one thing if the young master sensed her coming and prepared himself then that was something that just couldn't be avoided. But if she had successfully infiltrated and then the guards got called in and surrounded her, it was going to get ugly quickly. She would deal with the external threats before she moved in to deal with the boss level in the proper order. Using her tree strategy she had decently extended the area she had to travel and risk being seen, so all that was left was to wait for the sun to go down and the new guards to come in.
Taking the time she allowed her thoughts to dwell on the moment she had received the mission, her sheer outrage only barely held within Kurome's demure frame. The fact that some delusional scumbag had taken women captive just because he perceived them as a threat? Deplorable and she wouldn't stand for it. Before she had even realized, the sun that was gloriously licking at her skin had relented and a coolness replaced it. Now was the time for her to leap into action, so she took out her binoculars and properly gauged where each guard was and what they had equipped. She had decided to assault the western side of the compound, and her plan was to stop the guards before they were able to sound the alarm.
Taking a deep breath, she slapped her cheeks and readied herself for the undertaking that she would have to face and eyed down her three victims. Slinking low to the ground, she moved from her trees silently until she reached the last one. Standing fifteen meters away, she noted that she'd have to conserve her chakra but use enough to strike hard and fast against the grunts. Binoculars on her face once more, two of the guards were standing and one of them was sitting on the steps leading to the door she would enter through. The alarm horn was situated on the wall by the outside of the door, and he was the closest while the other two were at the bottom of the steps.
Taking the longbow off of her back, she knocked an arrow and then pulled the string taut as she closed an eye and adjusted her aim at the man sitting on the steps. If she could achieve a preemptive strike, then taking out the next two would be considerably easier. Elbow tucked firmly, she took a deep breath before releasing the arrow. It flew true through the sky, whistling as it flew and embedded itself within the chest of the man pinning him to the stone. Launching herself forward, she put the bow back around her back and initiated her seals. The two remaining guards had noticed the sound of the attack, looking up at their slain comrade and then around their surroundings in an attempt to locate her.
Closing the distance, several paper shuriken swarmed around her and then flew toward the pair. One of them, obviously seasoned, jumped out of the way and evaded them.
"What are you doing?! Get out of the way fool!" he screamed at the man, and Kurome clicked her tongue in displeasure. She didn't need any extra noise than what she was already attempting to create, and it was annoying enough that he had jumped out of the way. The other idiot fell for it and attempted to deflect the majority of them causing himself to be enveloped in an explosion that tore him apart. With the combination of noises, she was sure that she had attracted unwanted attention and she desperately needed to finish things before she lost control.
The opposing shinobi was on the offensive, stringing together his own set of seals before unleashing a lightning ball that smacked into her body and sent her flying into one of her paper trees effectively collapsing it.
"Tch, side characters shouldn't put up this much of a fight it's unbecoming," she muttered to herself, spitting out some blood and slowly bringing herself up to her feet.
The strike wasn't something she anticipated, and taking so much damage wasn't part of the plan. Her body was wracked with pain after one attack, somewhat shameful, but it was what it was. While she had struggled to rise, the man was shocked by the mayhem and stood over his allies' corpse. Turning, the man looked at her and then looked over at the stairs, and she hastily began forming seals once more. That was one thing she couldn't allow, there was too much of a chance that someone would have noticed something already. Wings formed behind her, greatly boosting her speed as she collided with him and physically tackled him into the ground. It bothered her, very much so, causing her to suck in air in her pain and discomfort. She had more damage dealt to her, overall, so she staggered a bit harder and longer than her opposition did.
Angered by her attack, he pulled out a kunai and swung at her slicing her leg while she managed to pull herself into the sky and evade a lethal blow. Gritting her teeth, she flew through a similar set of seals but this time she couldn't risk any more attraction than she already had. At this point, she wanted to either finish him and run through or finish him and recoup for a second.

Wings still formed around her shoulder blades, she reaffirmed her will and tenacity and she gripped onto the man on his back grabbing him into a choke hold. While she held him, she launched herself toward the trees that she had created before, skillfully weaving between them. The man was wildly swinging in his attempt to get the woman to release him. Though it seemed he wasn't strong, he was still stronger than her and every blow was another that threatened her body to release and she had to consciously tighten her grip. Climbing forty meters into the air, she finally released him directly onto the paper tree.
His arms and legs reached out, desperately trying to gather stable ground before moving away but the moment he did she dispelled the jutsu and the tree scattered into a falling pile of paper. He fell, emitting a short, muffled scream that was cut out by him falling onto a rock that she had formed the tree around. Splattered, she flew to the ground and dispelled the wings that had gotten her through the first phase of her assault.
Touching the ground, softly, she still managed to stumble and fall to her knees as her hands reached out to keep her entire body from falling. Kurome heaved heavily desperately trying to gather air in her tiny body. The blows she took from that encounter weren't intense, but they were enough for the rather defenseless woman. As if that wasn't enough, her chakra reserves were below their maximum and she was feeling the effect of it.
The worst part of this mission was still coming and she was already winded, but she wasn't someone who would stop there and head home just because she had hit a couple snags. Overall, her battle had been mostly successful and she managed to gather enough strength to get herself to her feet. As if to show off the fact that she was unlucky, she heard the rustling of feet over by the location where she had sent the exploding shuriken.
The combination of screaming and bomb noises must've been too much, as she feared, and she staggered to a closer tree so that she could properly gauge what was happening. Using the binoculars she had kept wrapped in a pouch, she examined and noticed that a pair of guards were heading around to check on things.
"As if I hadn't run into enough problems already," she complained to herself, as she deeply inhaled and exhaled twice to balance herself and her nerves.
She was a good thirty meters away from the pair, but that wasn't much of a problem. Two meddlers who were unaware of her exact location weren't going to be as fearsome as two who had seen her coming and had time to counterattack. Though she considered herself unlucky, the torches they held managed more light than the few stationary ones that she had used beforehand.
Holding her bow in hand once more, she took an arrow out of the quiver and pulled the string back hard. Of the two of them, one of them had a katana on his hip so she would leave him for a secondary target. She could easily deal with a melee fighter and her range is impressive as well, so she decided to eliminate the unknown. The arrow released with a sharp 'thunk' as it cut through the night sky and pierced the skull of her target before they could reach the bodies she had made prior.
The body fell slump and the comrade dropped his lantern in shock, causing the small flames to spread on the ground for a moment. All of the sources of light still gave her ample coverage, meanwhile, though he pulled out his blade, he had no clue exactly which direction the arrow had traveled from.
Pulling another arrow almost immediately after the first one, she pulled back and fired once more, this time piercing him through the throat. Unable to scream or call for help, she rushed forward as he began to panic. As the blood poured forth from his wounds, he held his hands to his throat as if to hold the blood. After a minute she approached, removing the arrow from the first man and using it to stab the second in the head before retrieving both.
She dragged both of the bodies to the side, and then gathered the other corpses, or as much of them as she could manage, before covering them in her paper. It wasn't the best hiding spot, but she didn't want to leave them out in the open and hoped that the darkness would last before the sun illuminated her makeshift prison.
Heading up to the door, she pushed lightly and it opened up without much opposition. Her footsteps were soft and quiet as she slunk into the home. It was high-roofed and immediately there were a ton of doors lining the left and right, but she had to follow her instincts. Some narcissistic bastard like that would make his particular room almost the center of attention, either at the very top or bottom of the manor.

Kurome had been through her own personal hell, and no one would believe her outlandish story even if she had admitted and informed a person of all the details. She had already accrued a ton of bodies since she began her assault against the compound, and the worst part was that she wasn't even nearly done. Her plans had gone awry, terribly so, and there was no way that her initial plan was going to work anymore. She decided to switch gears the moment she entered the compound, deciding that she would cross the home and eliminate the final guard who would be waiting on the other side. At this point he was little more than an uncontrollable variable that she didn't need in her way while she proceeded forward. Sliding through the hallway to the other door, she softly lifted and opened the door to minimize any possible noise that could've come from it.
With just a tiny squeak, it let itself be opened and revealed the last guard who was standing at the bottom of the stairs, with his back turned to Kurome. It was nothing short of a gargantuan miracle, one that would allow her to get rid of him without actually putting herself in any more noteworthy danger. Striding forward, one silent footstep at a time she needed to ensure that she could sneak up on him and dispose of him otherwise she would have to go with yet another contingency plan and that wasn't something she would take much enjoyment in.
One step, two steps, she made her down until the last step when she was directly behind him. He was just staring intently at the grounds before him, before she listened to him muttering. "Damn those two, what's taking so long?! It's up to us to take care of things during the night, before the young master wakes up and comes down to punish us," he groaned in dismay over the events and she almost felt bad for him, but it was eat or be eaten in the jungle.
Taking an arrow from the quiver, she leapt at the man before driving the arrow into his ear and into his brain, ending his life almost immediately. Dropping the body, she dusted herself up and stretched out her body. Here she was, finally in the homestretch of her operation. The last few things that she needed to do, were to defeat the boss and rescue the princesses. Thanks to her sneak attacks, she was able to reserve a decent portion of chakra in preparation for this moment. She gripped her hand tightly in anticipation, before she reentered the compound. Once she did, Kurome took heed of the words the man had whispered before dying.
The young master would have to come down the stairs in order to punish him, once he awoke. She crossed the hallway and made it to the foyer before ascending the master staircase. Of the many different doors, there was just one that stood out the most. Gilded gold was on the filigree so delicately laid upon the door, it just screamed luxury. This was exactly where she needed to be, she felt it deep within her gut. Stepping to the door, she prepared to use the same method she had employed before to reduce the amount of sound that could be heard when it opened. Silent for a moment, so quiet she was sure she could hear a mouse shitting, she opened the door and was greeted to the sight of a large master bedroom.
The bed was far beyond the scales of the king or queen, and it was draped in an ungodly amount of fabric to form a canopy. The rest of the room was drenched in a deep darkness, and she couldn't make out much of any other details. There was, however, a human sized growth in the middle of the white bed only barely visible due to the color. She took this to mean that he was truly sleeping, as she heard, and was ready to finish her mission with ease.

The room had close to no visibility, but Kurome would never let the element of surprise go to waste and now was no different. Pulling another arrow back, she pulled it and licked her lips in satisfaction. She had gone through many fights, many injuries, many plights since she began her mission so it was somewhat surreal that the end of the mission, the very climax, wasn't going to be some epic boss fight scene. Instead, she had job changed into an Assassin and was about to hit her target with a snipe. Oh well, castles have fallen for lesser reasons. She allowed the arrow to be released before flying true, forward into the bed. With an incredibly soft 'thunk' it nestled itself into the slumbering body that was the former Hyuga psycho.
Running in, she tore off the blankets in order to confirm that he had been killed. Contemplating taking back his eyes for her Raikage, she was then blinded by a flood of lights. To be more precise, Kurome had been in the dark so long that the sudden incorporation of bright lights had left her startled and stunned.
"Look at what we have here, another bitch on my doorstep?"
The words, though soft, were dripping with both malice and venom and, before she could even react, she felt her hair being pulled and gripped. A moment later, the young woman was launched at a wall by the Hyuga man she had come to assassinate. She had underestimated just how paranoid he might be, just because his guards were stupid didn't necessarily mean that they were too. But just what had given her up, what had tipped him off to her presence? Struggling as she attempted her feet, now that the lights were on, she noted what a truly gaudy room it was. Pure white walls, matched the white canopy and bed, down to the floor. However, every other ornament was cast in gold, or gold plated, or it was some distasteful 'art' showcasing women. He was sneering at her from the bed, obviously enjoying every moment of what was happening, but she was glad to be given a moment to recover.
"How...what did I do...wrong?" she managed to sputter out as the pain rang through her body and she attempted to push it to the side.
His initial answer was to cackle at her, clearly amused by Kurome not being able to figure it out on her own. Thankfully, because of that she was able to prolong her recovery. He was taking his time with her, enjoying his dominance of her thus far, while she was on the ground she easily managed to conceal a few movements of her hands, before placing her hand against the wall to support her elevation.
"Stupid women, always needing the answers given to them, did you think I wouldn't hear that explosion earlier? I was watching it all with my Byakugan. I figured, if I waited, that I could catch you off guard when you were feeling so good and successful, bahaha," he began to explain seriously but, upon recollecting the face she had made when he tossed her, he began to cackle.
Internally she cursed at herself, of course the damn paper bomb had been what set him off. If she hadn't done that, then everything might've gone much more smoothly for her. During the scuffle, her bow had fallen off of her body, though she still had arrows remaining in the quiver. She considered how she could make it out of this alive, and only prayed that he would continue to attempt to belittle and demean her throughout. If she didn't respond to his provocations, she was sure she could mess with his state of mind.
His Byakugan active, she knew that any of his Jyuuken strikes would deal tremendous internal damage to her and would cause the fight to end quickly. The problem was, that was the extent of her knowledge of the Hyuuga techniques. Clans weren't very open with information of their secret techniques, so it made sense, but it made for an immense amount of danger.
"Well, I guess it doesn't matter. Paper bomb, or not, at some point you would've realized I was coming. But I don't think it matters since you're about to die anyway," she said before giving him a glorious smile matched with a strong, resilient middle finger.
"Stupid bitch!"
Kurome had managed to excite the man, giving him into pure rage. Launching himself forward, she prepared to leap back away from his palms when a resounding kick landed against her head. Having not made much progress from her previous location, she simply bounced off of the wall before he smashed his palm into her stomach. The act caused her to cough up a handful of blood, that tripped down from her fingers onto the floor. He laughed manically, pretty much losing control of himself at this point. Refusing to give up, she gripped his foot tightly and with her conviction and grip she remained fastened to him. It was, of course, nothing more than a beautiful distraction all calculated by the woman. The crux of this plan hinged on his metal state, because had he been calm and analytical he would've been able to see the truth that was laid bare for him.
He stomped down on her back in order to get her to let go and, after a few attempts, she obliged and caused him to hold her up with her hair as he gazed upon her sanguine visage. You didn't put up much of a fight, did you?"

Holding her delicately, he deactivated his Byakugan while Kurome was ready to lose her mind. Her will to win the fight had been broken, she needed to escape and live. She had never even left her village, she didn't know what the world had to offer just yet! Her frustrations and fears bubbled over as the tears began to well up, before releasing a powerful torrent. Wailing, she couldn't help as the tears fell down. The Hyuga man, who should've been confused, was even more happy than he was beating the shit out of her a few moments ago.
"Please don't kill me! I haven't even touched a man yet, please! At least let me die in the arms of a man!" she cried out through her blubbering, wiping away most of the tears and leaving her skin red. His position as the major dominating force was getting to his head, he yanked at her hair and swung her around cheerfully like a doll. After a moment, he decided to obligate her sad, desperate wish.
"Fine, shameful skank that you are, you may embrace me before I kill you," he responded gleefully, opening his arms and releasing her hair. She would reach out and extend her arms around his body, feeling the muscles around his shoulder and chest, and even rubbing along the other leg that she hadn't grabbed before hand. She was thankful that, in all of this, they hadn't moved too much or else it would've been a problem. Once she was finished, she gave him a light kiss on the lips before pulling away and hopping down off of the bed.
"Mmm, feisty. Now, since you've finished, are you ready to die now?" his giddy voice sickened her, but it wasn't something that she was going to have to pay much attention to anymore.
"I'm really glad that you focused so much on me, so psychotically. If you had actually paid attention and used those amazing eyes of yours, then you wouldn't be in this position. And, after how I've acted the whole time, how could you ever buy that act about not being with a man and not dying? I'm a Shinobi. Don't disrespect me, you disgusting fucking scum,"
Although she started out speaking quietly and calmly, before losing herself to the growing rage inside of her. Now her tone was enriched with anger and malice, and most of all a condescension. Now it was her turn to feel superior. If he had only taken her seriously the entire time, and noticed the thin light of chakra that would've been flowing from her palm with an anchor point in the wall. Utilizing her ability to make paper weaponry, she had created paper ninja wire and wrapped it around his legs and arms and now she pulled the string taut in order to immobilize him. Like a fly caught in a web, he was strung up against the bed post facing the wall that her blood was smeared on.
"No! No! NO! Let me out of her you bitch, I'll fucking kill you I swear to god, I will!" he struggled against the wire in a desperate attempt to release himself but the more he struggled the more the wire cut into his skin. She had woven it indescribably intricately and, though it wouldn't hold him much longer, it was long enough for the fight to end. While he was wrapped up, she formed a few more handseals before creating exploding notes. Placing them on his mouth, his chest, and his groin she walked away and after a few moments was greeted by the blissful symphony of explosion and screaming.
Though it was a victory, she could barely call it that with the amount of chakra she had spent and the injuries she had sustained. Though she had kept all of her limbs, she was damaged internally and had been beaten pretty good externally. Fried by an enemy's jutsu, there were just so many different misfortunes that had befallen her. She wasn't done just yet, however, though she realized it much too late.
"Hyuaaa Sttyye Tehhnahue! Hasshe Kushshhhu!"
An air blast the size of a bowling ball plowed into her lower back and caused her to literally fly down the steps beneath her. Hitting a couple of steps, she skidded to the bottom. Her head rang loudly as the air had been knocked out of her, breathless and unable to hear at the moment she coughed and groaned as she got on all fours. After a couple of moments, though her head was still pounding, the ringing had declined and been replaced by a soft tapping behind her.
Rolling a bit, she was greeted with a horrific visage in front of her. Arms bleeding from ripping through the ninja wire, they were the least of the problems. He had managed to protect his chest and groin, somehow, and was only severely burned. His entire jaw, dipping a bit into his neck, was completely missing. Recalling his voice from before she fell, she noted it did sound a bit muffled. It would make sense if he was missing the bottom portion of his face. He could barely move and his gait was slow and tortured, but she knew that this was it. Adrenaline poured into her body and she ran through a string of seals while slowly kicking the ground to slide backward before scrambling to her feet.
Paper formed in front of her before folding into the shape of a bow, small paper woven together to make the string, all within a couple of seconds. Moments later, she pulled out an arrow and launched it toward him embedding it within his ankle. He stumbled and fell down the stairs himself, landing a meter away from her. Finishing her last set of seals, various paper shuriken formed once more before they all embedded themselves within him.
Panting, she roared as she ran over and removed the arrow from his ankle and stabbed it into his head to ensure he had died. As she got off of his body she heard a jingling. Curious, she searched his body to reveal a key that he had been hiding in his pockets. Exploring the various doors and rooms, she eventually found a descending staircase that led her to her prize. Opening the large, padlocked door she was greeted to various women clumped together in rags who looked up at her despondently. She felt the same way, honestly, after using almost her entire chakra reserve she was feeling way too light headed. She hadn't planned on using that much, though, a couple of her plans had went awry.
"Rise and shine, ladies. The Boss is dead, and the Hero is here to rescue the Princesses. Let's hurry back before they start a Bonus round, I need this XP if I wanna level up," she said, confusing the entirety of the room. After a few moments one of the ladies began to cheer, understanding enough to know that they were safe.
Quickly gathering them up, she collected the body and dragged it behind her by encasing it within paper and creating a paper rope. Looking out at the sky, she cursed and commanded the ladies to move quickly. They ran to her rendezvous fake forest, just in time to see the morning shift of guards begin entering from the far north. Not wanting to remain any longer, she stumbled with the ladies and her bounty back to Kumogakure. She hoped that she would get a lot of praise, because she wasn't sure that the beating she took justified the resulting rewards.

Hatoronshi Bakuha (Crafting Paper Explosive Addition) Rank: C Range: - Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Mid As its name implies, the clan member is able to imbue their paper creations with explosive properties. When lit, the effect can spread over a mass amount of paper sheets; when combined with other clan jutsu, the explosive additions result in a truly terrifying offensive combination.
Note: This technique allows the Shikigami to create explosive notes at their will, up to three per post. Likewise, they can also convert a single Pepa Shuriken no Jutsu cast (all of the shuriken associated with the single cast) into explosive rounds. These abilities cannot be used at the same time (you either make notes or turn the shuriken into explosive shuriken). Furthermore, the cost of converting the paper shuriken stacks with the cost of making the shuriken. This technique has explosive power comparable to level 2 strength
Pepa Shuriken no Jutsu (Paper Shuriken Technique) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive Handseals: 2 Chakra Consumption: Mid-High A simple yet effective paper technique. The user can take paper creations of their own and turn them into deadly shuriken. Retaining their infamous strength, these shuriken are sent flying by the user's will, resulting in a deadly barrage of projectiles.
Note: 3 shuriken can be created with the initial Mid cost, and by stacking on another Mid each, up to 12 can be created per use. This technique has durability comparable to level 2 defense, and slicing power comparable to level 2 strength.
Kami no Buki (Paper Weapon) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 4 Chakra Consumption: Mid, Low (optional) One of the most basic Shikigami techniques where after handseals the user forges with paper a weapon of their choosing. This allows for a variety of tactical movements during battle, supplementing the clan member's close-range combat.
Note: Weapon must be an existing overview weapon in the index and can never exceed two times the dimensions of said item. The weapon must remain in contact with the Shikigami at all times, or it will return to its normal state of paper. For an optional Low chakra cost, the user can turn a created weapon into another weapon. This technique has durability comparable to level 3 defense, and slicing power comparable to level 2 strength
