When the comforts of civilization begin to dull our senses, we must never forget that in the beginning, there was war. And war. And more war. Long before there were empires, there were humans consumed with greed and the hunger for power. Resources, territories, information—these were the forms of sustenance upon which we preyed. Today, we call such habits vices. Oh, how arrogant we have become! Are we not still impelled by those primordial emotions? Is the advent of war so far-fetched? But alas, for you to truly understand, we must dive deeper into this land’s half-forgotten past.
There was a time when might was the only law that humankind knew. Fearsome clans roamed throughout the land, seeking amenable grounds within which they could take root and opposing forces against whom they could test their mettle. Given the irregularity of nature’s bounty, certain regions appealed more than others, and dominion over such coveted territories became the spark that ignited the earliest inter-clan wars. These fierce, internecine affairs tended to conclude only when one side had decimated their competition into oblivion, and many clans of story were rendered extinct during this period.
The victors of war, having claimed their territories, often made truces with surrounding locals, offering protection in exchange for access to the yields of agriculture. Over time, certain communities emerged as more dominant than others, either due to numbers or sheer talent, and their rapid expansion would force smaller, neighboring communities to either collapse into their fold or be devastated. When the dust settled, humankind found itself divided into the five major territories that we are familiar with today. And was the bloodshed over? With our lands obtained and our bellies filled, were we finally content?

BIRTH NAME, honoka (spike) TITLE, marionette princess. AGE & SEX, 19 & female. VOICE, rie takahashi. HEIGHT & WEIGHT, • five feet & six inches. • one-hundred & twenty-three pounds.
PHYSIQUE, • Soft skin akin to freshly fallen snow is the base of the beautiful portrait that is Honoka. Standing at a rather average height of five feet and six inches (5'6") and weighing only one hundred twenty-three pounds (123 lbs.) She has strikingly green, emerald really, eyes that shine no matter what time of day. They are beneath a fan of black lashes and high-arched eyebrows. Beneath both of her eyes are small beauty marks. Her hair is incredibly long and naturally pink, dyed with green toward the ends. All of her hair is braided, and they are formed into three thick strands with two over her shoulders and the main one down her back. Her bangs are in five ruffled clumps, covering most of her forehead. Honoka has a petite nose, and thin lips. She has a noteworthy figure, with a rather large bosom and desirable curves.
Her battle attire takes the form of a black colored, gold buttoned up shirt with the chest area exposed and a high white-framed collar. There is kanji for the name of her clan on the back, and a plain, white undershirt along with it also exposed in the chest. Around her waist is a snow white obi, and a short, black pleated skirt. She wears long green socks, that match her hair and eyes, along with white zori sandals.
PERSONA & LORE, • Such a beautiful outside only serves to hide the incredibly wild persona that lives within. Honoka is a multifaceted woman, who’s first and most notable trait would have to be her sharp wit and quick tongue. She’s definitely one of those people that has to have the last word in a conversation. She is definitely someone who relishes an intellectual conversation, but also doesn’t mind joking barbs and is definitely a people person. If the atmosphere seems the least bit tense, then she’s the one who’ll try to lift the mood in whatever method is at her disposal.
• She is very proud of herself and the family that raised and taught her everything she needed to know. She loves her family very much and she strives to achieve fame and gain strength all in order to protect and enrich the lives of her kin. When it comes to them, she is incredibly selfless and would drop everything, with no regret, in order to come to their aid. Disrespect to her and her family name is not allowed, and is one of the few things that would ignite her raging temper. She tends to be rather calm and jovial but when she’s mad she tends to see red, becoming inconsolable for a time. These occurrences are incredibly rare. She knows fully well that her family values their goals above her, and that isn’t a problem. Love is unconditional.
• Due to her upbringing, she has been raised to believe that she will, nay, has to achieve greatness in order to pull their names from obscurity. When time for missions, or in battle, she tends to become rather serious and drops most of her playfulness. Though she might throw a taunt or something of the like, it’s very different. She knows that failure is not only an embarrassment to herself but also a poor reflection on her already obscure family.
• Never having had many friends growing up, she views friendships as transactions with people you enjoy talking to. For example, if they were to help her out in any way she would then feel like she owed that person. If she assisted them, then she would expect that they help her the next time she needs it. On top of that, after being owed several favors she would stop helping until she feels some of the ‘debt’ repaid. If they were to buy her something then she would feel the need to buy them something, and vice versa.
The Minamino clan was once a mighty clan, renowned for their incredibly adept building and usage of their puppets. Hundreds of years ago, people would have flocked to their estate in order to have them craft a puppet, or hire them to assist in some endeavor utilizing their pristine skills. They enjoyed this time immensely and basked in the fame and fortune that came their way, never turning anyone down and working fervently. They were truly paragons of the age and brought greatness to the land. They passed down their secret knowledge to ensure that the prosperity would continue for as long as time went on.
The problem was the fame that they had gained off their initial ancestors. No one could doubt the Minamino quality nor their name, so the wicked members ignored their training. Though armed with the secret knowledge of their fore bearers they had given into selfish hedonism and refused to lift a finger themselves. Using superb materials they delivered sub-par puppets and claimed that they had the finesse of their fathers but failing nearly every mission they vainly decided to accept.
It didn't take long for them to come under intense scrutiny, they were forsaken and their fraud became public. What was once a great and mighty clan had fallen because of the laziness of an entire generation. That was the time of her great-grandfather, Narumi Minamino. Since their clan had fallen, the remaining members all fled and left, marrying into other families to avoid the disgrace. The formerly stalwart oak tree was reduced to the state of a mere fledgling sapling, just one branch sticking out - belonging to her family.
Chitose & Ichiji Minamino were guided by her grandfather Sozin Minamino and had become almost fanatic in their desire to be the ones that would bring fame and fortune back to their clan. Unfortunately, that had not been the case and so they entrusted everything to the next generation instead. The moment Honoka was born, her parents had placed the burden on their shoulders onto the petite baby. In their eyes, their child was already the golden prodigy who would lift their clan from the hell of obscurity and disdain (all in their delusions, of course). They weren't in poverty, thanks to the reserves of the past, but they were certainly incredibly close.
Every penny that they could spare went toward her education, sometimes even forsaking food themselves. The way they parented was manic. While they would do anything to ensure that she proved successful, they were demonic in the way they would starve her if she failed to meet expectations as well as the beatings for behavior they didn't think was necessary. Compared to the training and treatment of her grandfather, who wanted a male heir and was harsher upon her for it, it was actually a decent life. The girl took everything in stride, her mental fortitude was much higher than her physical. She believed that it was all for the best, that if she suffered it was because she deserved it and needed it.
Her early education, before the academy years, was spent being lectured on several subjects. Their family history, puppet building and manipulation, etiquette, etc. They wanted their daughter to be awe-inspiring in every way possible. She would be a diamond of the finest cut, one that would captivate and charm everyone. Once she did, they would take the reins and properly 'manage' her popularity for their own gains. They made their plans known, uncaring for her own wishes, but still she was unbothered. Some time along the line, she gained herself a brother who was named Tohru. Though she loved him dearly, the way she was raised hardly afforded her a chance to get to know him.
It was an honor, in her warped eyes, that everyone had such high expectations for her. She wanted to rise to all of them, and more! She reached a point that they were hopeful for before she entered the academy, encouraging her to show off her prowess. She did try and was well received but compared to her peers she was only average. She had more training to do, more to overcome. She spent her years in the academy earnestly learning and absorbing the different subjects they had to teach her.
She graduated within the top ten of her class, but didn’t gain much distinction much to the chagrin of her parents. Due to this, despite officially becoming a Genin, they took her for several years in order to train her more harshly. Drill the essentials until they become second nature, know the history until you can say it in your dreams. Despite every burden she’s faced, and now carries, she’s been able to retain a mostly cheery disposition. She doesn’t mind the pressure she’s under, she’s glad that there are such high hopes on her shoulders. Now that she’s finished her training, though she plays the fool, she’s ready to go out and make her family proud.

Suiun Suishi no Jutsu (Water Transport Dispatch Formation Technique) Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 5 Chakra Consumption: 3x Low (per Column) Suiun Suishi no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Water Element. The user will first perform a series of handseals, and then cause a large column of water to rise from a nearby water source. Due to the moderate volume of liquid controlled by this technique, it is the preferred method of fighting nearby fires.
Note: Each Column is roughly ten feet tall and four feet in width (all directions), it rises out the water near instant
Kokuun no Jutsu (Black Clouds Techniques) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 3 Chakra Consumption: 2x Mid Kokuun no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Water Element. After forming the necessary hand seals, a black mist will emit from the body and rise into the sky. Black clouds will then form, releasing a flammable rain of oil onto his\her targets.
Note: Water is not necessary beforehand to perform this jutsu. The "clouds" that form about are roughly twenty feet in all directions from the epicenter (caster) and can be increased by up to ten meters per expenditure of 1x Mid.
Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Clone Technique) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 3 Chakra Consumption: 2x Mid (per clone base cost) (this is not returned in anyway, this is the cost to form it.) Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. The range of the clone is limited however, it cannot travel very far from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural water state.
Note: Each clone costs 2x Mid to create, and the amount of Chakra given to each Clone is dependent on how much the user wishes to spend Extra to give it. Each Clone starts with 2x Mid, and are limited to basic attacks/weaponry attacks (taijutsu/kenjutsu allowed and other weaponry styles) Suiton based Jutsu up to C rank. The clones are required to stay within 25 meters of the caster at all times otherwise they disperse. The clones have level 1 defense.
Mizurappa (Water Trumpet) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 5 Chakra Consumption: 2x Mid Mizurappa is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After forming the necessary handseals, the user will expel a strong jet of water at their opponent. This jet is easily capable of swamping up to three targets, pinning them against any surface with its pressure.
Note: Water is not necessary beforehand to perform this technique, this technique moves at level 3 speed, with level 2 strength.
Mizu no Muchi (Whip of Water) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive, Supplementary Handseals: 5 Chakra Consumption: 1x Mid (creation/activation) 2x Low Upkeep Mizu no Muchi is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a whip. The ninja can also send an electric current through the whip to electrocute their opponent. The whip will function in the normal fashion, such as allowing the ninja to whip the crap out of little kids.
Note: The user does not need to possess the Raiton element to generate the electric current. This whip has a durability similar to level 2 defense and can slash at on par with level 2 strength.
Mizukiri no Yaiba (Sword of Draining) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 4 Chakra Consumption: 2x Mid (activation), 2x Low Upkeep Mizukuri no Yaiba is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like a normal blade.
Note: This technique has durability similar to level 2 defense, and slash on to level 2 strength.
Daibakuryuu no Jutsu (Great Exploding Current Technique) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 4 Chakra Consumption: 3x Mid (Activation) 1x Mid Upkeep (per turn after initial) Daibakuryuu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After doing the necessary handseals, a vortex of water will form, sucking anything on the surface above it down into the depths below.
Note: Daibakuryuu no Jutsu starts at it's full strength consuming things at level 2 speed and slowly loses it once the user releases their "control" over it, and after a total of four posts have passed it subsides. One the first post it is at full strength and capable of sucking in objects as large as a medium sized summon. Second post, it loses 25% of it's power and weakens. Third, it drops to 25% and on the final post it consumes itself.
The Shageki-ha requires a great many tools to fully utilize their fighting style. Due to this, through their training, they’ve learned to carry heavier loads than most of your typical shinobi. Likewise, considering how much time they’ve spent in the shops, they’ve also grown rather close to the keepers. From this, practitioners of the Shageki-ha gain one additional Main Weapon slot, one additional Secondary Weapon slot, and one Accessory slot, as well as a 50% discount when purchasing any main or secondary weapons. This discount stacks with Slot special list bonus'.
A-mu (Re-arm) Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Stamina Consumption: Low As useful as the Weapon Scrolls are, there are times when the Shageki-ha user will require a weapon in their own hands. Since it is far more practical for them to carry their weaponry in their scrolls, such a technique was invented to easily acquire the sealed weapons.
Note: The user need only brush their hand across the scroll, whether it is opened or closed, to summon a weapon to their hand. Only one weapon may be summoned at a time.
Shageki-ha Fuuinjutsu (Shooting Blades Sealing Technique) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 4 (if used during combat) Stamina Consumption: 2x Mid (if used during combat) An integral technique for the Shageki-ha, allowing them to fill their Weapon Scrolls with all the weaponry they'll need. Though typically used prior to a fight, poor weaponry management often requires the user to recollect some of their dispensed weaponry and reseal them into their scrolls. Using this in the line of fire requires much more concentration, and thus hand seals.
Note: This technique allows the user to seal any form of weaponry in their scrolls.
Shageki-ha Kai (Shooting Blades Release) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Stamina Consumption: Low With so much focus on their weaponry and equipment, such things are almost an extension of the Shageki-ha practitioner's body. As long as at least part of the scroll is held at all times, any weapons sealed within may be propelled from it as efficiently as if thrown normally.
Note: The scroll can be fired up to 50 meters away with 100% accuracy.
Tamanabe (Potshot) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive Handseals: - Stamina Consumption: Mid With training a weapon scroll user can learn to throw their weaponry with more precision. This precision allows more pin point accuracy of thrown weapons and, allows for trickier angles to be used with attacks. But the most powerful use of this attack is its ability to allow main weaponry to be thrown like a secondary.
Note: This doesn't mean you can alter the trajectory mid-flight, but you can throw a weapon so it can curve at an angle.
Tama Yasui (Cheap Shot) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: x1 Low Thanks to the Shageki-ha's intense accuracy and efficiency when throwing their projectiles, they can throw two in such harmony that the second follows directly behind the first. Thus, the target, who may catch sight of the thrown weapon, will be unable to see the second that follows within an inch of the first, ideally catching them off guard.
Baku Ryusei (Attached Meteor) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: - The user brandishes one of their smaller Weapon Scrolls, and immediately, a length of weighted chain springs forth, rocketing towards the target. Should they make contact, the chain will instantly wrap around the victim, the end remaining sealed within the scroll, making for a capture. After a successful capture, the user may then release the rest of the weaponry stored within the use scroll, all homing in on the chain-bound target.
Note: Your scroll must contain "Manriki" and, this technique can be used in conjunction with [Kai] this technique has durability similar to level 3 defense and moves at level 5 speed.
Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Low Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must to combine it with a distraction.
Note: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.
Kai (Release) Rank: D Range: - Type: Supplementary Handseals: 1 Chakra Consumption: Low Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.
Soushuriken no Jutsu (Manipulated Shuriken Technique) Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Low With this technique a translucent string, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a shuriken, making it possible to alter its path after having thrown it. An expert will have the ability to freely glide the shuriken in any direction with just a single movement of their fingertip. The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a time-lag of several seconds, it will come from behind. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite.
Note: By combining this technique with a Chidori enhancement, the user may cause the wire to break the Shuriken apart into multiple sharp slabs that can be directed by the user.
Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 3 Chakra Consumption: Low - Massive A powerful jutsu intended to call forth aid when in dire need, Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon a variety of entities and items meant to assist them in a dire situation. From people to animals, to inanimate objects such as weapons and items, these creations come forth out of thin air near-instantly after the seals are done and into the battlefield. Keep in mind each summoning in question requires a previous contract to be filled out. Finally, signing this contract also allows said summoning to be able to reverse summon the human ninja to their own location.
Note: All summons have their own chakra cost, which the user will need to meet in order to bring them forth. In terms of inanimate objects, the user can summon up to ten secondary weapons for a Low amount of chakra (per summoning); on the other hand, they may summon up to five primary weapons for a Mid amount of chakra (per summoning).
Soushuuha (Manipulate Advancing Blades) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 4 Chakra Consumption: Low Soushuuha is a Ninjutsu technique used in order to give aerial projectiles a slight edge in combat. After the needed handseals, this technique allows the user to hover multiple projectiles (a maximum of five), like kunai, in the air while they approach a target. They can then unleash a torrent of projectiles much faster than if each was thrown individually.

Tier 1The Training - A Puppet Master is known for one thing, their ability to control objects via Chakra Thread. The interesting thing is however that very few people are capable of keeping up with a Puppet Master's hand gestures, proving that they are effectively unmatched by most in the usage of high speed movements. This is because of the years of training a Puppet Master's mind has become sharpened by the methods employed, and they are effectively able to process information much more rapidly. This translates into drastically improved mental reaction speed, and connection between the fingers and the brain. The nervous system capable of acting on shear impulse the moment the master's mind wills it to. Increasing the speed of hand eye coordination when using the Puppet as an extension of their will. A Puppet Master obtains 2 levels higher than there own speed Reaction Speed when controlling a puppet (Mental Only) meaning that they are mentally more aware/capable of reacting to the slightest change around them without effort. This does not mean they can physically dodge, as this only reflects to their mental awareness.
Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique) Rank: E Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 0 Chakra Consumption: Low Kawarimi no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the user will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object - generally a block of wood, but sometimes even another person - the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosvie tags can be attached to the placement for an added surprise!
Note: Switch is near-instantaneous. The technique can only be used once per turn.
Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique) Rank: E Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 3 Chakra Consumption: Low, Low (upkeep) Henge no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. After performing a set of handseals, the user takes on the form of another object, whether it be an animal, plant, or inanime object. This transformation is exactly like the genuine article, so it is impossible to tell the two apart without special methods.
Note: The user can transform themself into an object of average, small, or miniature size. This means that one cannot Henge into a bijuu, summon, or other gigantic object.
Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique) Rank: E Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 3 Chakra Consumption: Low (per clone) Bunshin no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. After performing a set of handseals, the user creates an intangible copy of themselves. This clone has no substance, so it is not able to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy. It is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. These clones can be easily distinguished by opponents with doujutsu, but even opponents with normals eyes can tell tell it apart from the original if they are observant, as the clone does not have a shadow and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement. As soon as this clone comes in contact with an opponent or gets attacked, it will disperse. Note: The clone's movement speed is equal to the user's. Bunshin cannot mold chakra to perform jutsu, nor can they physically harm an opponent.
Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique) Rank: E Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Low, Low (upkeep) Kakuremino no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique that allows the user to take a cloak or a piece of cloth and infuse it with their chakra, allowing them to blend into the background. This creates an optical illusion where the user is basically invisible to the naked eye.
Note: No other techniques can be used while disguised.
Nawanuke no Jutsu (Rope Escape Technique) Rank: E Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Chakra Consumption: - Handseals: Low Nawanuke no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. Should the user be tied up by normal ropes, they can exert a small amount of chakra to free their bindings and effectively escape. Note: Ineffective against complex, electronic, or unique binds.
Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing) Rank: E Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Low, Low (upkeep) Kinobori no Waza is an Academy Ninjtusu technique. By focusing a small amount of chakra to the bottom of their feet, the user can climb a tree (or other vertical wall) without utilizing their hands. This technique has a dual purpose, since it is the perfect way to increase skills with chakra control - if the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will loose their footing; if the stream is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the surface.
Suimen Hokou no Waza (Act of Water Surface Walking) Rank: E Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Low, Low (upkeep) Suimen Hokou no Waza is an Academy Ninjutsu technique, and is a variant of Kinobori no Waza. By emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using this repellent force, the user is able to walk across the water's surface. This technique is vastly more difficult than its counterpart because the amount of chakra that needs to be focused changes constantly, but it helps to build chakra control in the user.
