The two shinobi would greet each other with a handshake as Shinji stood behind Sami, who would step down off the platform of the raised desk area and Shinji's eyes would look at each student as Sami would begin speaking to the class.
[break][break]
"Today class we have a very special guest, this is Shinji Uchiha, jonin class rank. He will be speaking to you all today about the world of Shinobi and what it really means to be one."
[break][break]
Shinji would step forward as the teacher would nod at the class and then Sami left the classroom, the door closing behind him. Shinji would observe each student's face as he leans back against the desk placing his hands on the corner of the desk as support. As Shinji scanned the room he could hear students whispering among themselves. The chatter was various things, some kids being silly, some admiring the young adult, and a couple of student females in the back left corner gushing over the man. As he finished scanning the room Shinji would finally speak up, his deep tone of voice easily blanketing the room with his voice.
[break][break]
"So, you all want to be a shinobi I see? Well, it is a great field and a major thankless job. It's not for everyone. It can be dangerous. It can be scary, and I don't want to scare you but it can bring about heartache. But, we won't focus so much on that last part because as you will eventually experience in life, heartache just happens to be a thing we all go through at one time or another. So, I want a show of hands how many of you here are gonna be going for the first Chuunin exams?"
[break][break]
The hands all shot up in the class, which brought a smile to Shinji's face. Shinji leaned back off the desk stepping back down onto the floor in front of him. He would point to a kid in the back, the brooding one he noticed in the back as all the kids lowered their hands, and all eyes turned to the kid, who now had all the attention. Shinji would lock eyes with the kid, seeing the same eyes that Shinji has seen for many years. The kid didn't seem unnerved by the attention or all the eyes on him which Shinji observed as a great skill to possess as a shinobi.
[break][break]
"Tell me, what's your name?
[break][break]
"Denki."
[break][break]
"Denki, tell me in all of your classes you have had what do you think is the most crucial lesson you have learned that would help you in the field as a Chuunin?"
[break][break]
The boy stared at Shinji for a moment as Shinji's eyes locked onto his, Shinji could tell despite the eyes that this boy will eventually make Chuunin. It was the answer that was coming that could determine if that would be true of course. Shinji awaited a reply as the boy spoke.
[break][break]
"Well, sir, the most important lesson I have been taught I feel is that no matter the outcome you are to complete your mission to the best of your ability. Failure is not an option."
[break][break]
"You are right Denki. So, class, this is something that is very important. Completion of your mission is crucial to your success rate and the village's status and your status as well. Granted, failure can happen in the field because things outside your control can make your mission parameters rather difficult. Like I was on a mission looking for a lost cat one time, and she was a feisty feline. I failed the mission because the cat scratched me pretty well and got away."
[break][break]
Laughter erupted from the class about him failing the mission, but of course, this was a lie because Shinji never was a genin nor became a Chuunin. He jumped the line through his unusual life but these children do not gonna know that because this is not the life they are experiencing. Shinji would laugh with them as the laughter went on for a few moments, the class would stop laughing as well as Shinji.
[break][break]
"Well, I would eventually catch Pumpkin and return her to the owner. The point of the matter is that you do whatever it takes within your ability and skill set to complete your mission. It has been beaten into you throughout your time at the academy but it's important you heed it and take it seriously."
